Books are completely different. Completely. Rita still living & married to Dex. Astor & Cody are Dex's pupils in the Code of Harry. Deb accepts Dexter's passenger.
underwhelming season finale makes a disappointing season. even the last scene didnt do it for me. very sloppy and there is no natural flow in this season. hopefully next season will be better
gotta agree this entire season was sloppy. the very first scene of this episode, what is the purpose of having the guy attempt to rob the boat? it was eye roll worthy enough for a boat to appear out of nowhere but couldn't they just have gone to shore? it just seems like they try too hard at times and other times they really don't try hard enough. the dexter-deb love story line is honestly such an awkward, poorly executed, and truly unbelievable one. not to mention that it is worsened by the fact that they were married in real life and recently divorced. give me a break writers, have some decency. yes, last 10 seconds were interesting but i feel like i really wasted my time watching this season and would have been just as excited about the next if I had just heard that deb finally finds out. it was also predictable again once we find out dexter foolishly chooses his kill room as the place where deb knows he will be. regardless, i still enjoy dexter as a character and hopefully with some very interesting material to flesh out for next year, season seven won't be the bust that this one was. homeland, on the other hand, was pretty freaking fantastic.
Season was pretty sloppy but you can't expect a Trinity bombshell every year. I liked this one better than last season. Yes. So good that the good seasons are considered disappointing.
The season finale was as boring as watching Miami's other Dexter! Disappointed.. you can't just end the season like that.... at least show us a better reaction.
Maybe I felt that this was the worst season because it was the first one that I watched from week-to-week rather than in a few days, but it was by far the worst one IMO and it's not really that close. I also really disliked Hanks' character. I just felt that he did not do that great of a job, and he always had that weird creepy look on his face. Here's to hoping that the next two seasons are much better.
I liked this season. It's not the best, but I was entertained and felt the hatred towards the antagonist. The twists were expected, but fun nonetheless. Spoiler I will admit that the kill could have been more satisfying. I hate that they used deb's point of view for the kill. It should have been a normal camera shot for the kill, then a close up of Deb's reaction right after the stab. As if Dexter was killing any of Deb's perception of Dexter. I am glad something so plot-changing happened. Although it's always fun to track the killer and kill the killer, it was getting stale. Now there is a new wrinkle, and I can't wait to see what happens.
I also think the episode could have been more intense. Should have happened last year when Deb was speaking to Dex through the curtain. I am super glad Deb finally found out, but it seemed a little anticlimactic. Seems almost as if next season will show that Deb understands why Dex is doing it. I hope it picks up right where it left off this season.
Bad second half of the season and an even worse final episode. All down hill once Brother Sam died. I can now see this show getting so bad that I don't even bother to watch it every week. I still say this show should have ended with the Trinity killer season.
i suspect much was left on the editing floor. 1.) no way Polly Walker signs on for a mere 3 scenes 2.) the new transfer from Chicago....
is that the chick from Sunny in Philadelphia? If so, I can't believe she signed on for such a minor role.
Yup, as soon as Brother Sam died the season went straight off the map stupid. Sloppiness everywhere, plot holes, and just too many things going on without absolutely no cohesion.
Admist how Dexter kept getting out of trouble this season, I still enjoy this series very much. Here's hoping to another great season of Dexter!
Saw it last night and most of felt pretty choppy, could have been a lot better, seemed to lack any real tension. Final shot, from what I read, sets up the end game for the final 2 seasons.
I'm guessing there is no connection between him and Travis, but he has his own demons/obsessions that will be a major plot point in future seasons.
