calling someone a role player doesn't mean they aren't everything you just said.

Come on folks this is not about Chuck Hayes game it is much bigger than that..

His health is way more important than his skills on the basketball court.

You misunderstood me. I meant I believe he'll attack this ailment like every other obstacle he's faced and he will defeat it. If it's possible, Chuck will do it.

He's simply out of shape. Played in a few exhibitions in Kentucky during the lockout, and everyone talked about how fat he was.

Hopefully, his medical tests reveal nothing major.

Chuck Hayes is the Epitome of what a Professional Basketball Player should be about. He is also the only starting regular center & elite post defender to have ever played in the NBA at a minimum height of six feet, six inches
    ! !

If you watched him play the past five years then you know all the reasons why...

With a consistent jumper and free throw, he would be a complete player.

    Post more :)

If Hayes is cleared to play then the Rockets need to sign him Immediately. Asking Hayes to play Center the past several years without much help or a significant backup is NOT cool.

Rox also need to pick up Dalembert, as Hill and Thabeet have yet to prove that they are Consistent Impact Players. If these three centers not named Hayes do not deliver, then they should be traded.

Why would him being out of shape void his contract?

Those were people that hadn't seen him since he played there... he wasn't that much bigger than at the end of last season here. And in the Sac vids/pics he looked fine size-wise.

It doesn't matter how big or small you are to have a heart condition.

Hopefully we can hear soon how he's doing and what the situation really is.

Chuck is the man. I wish him well, gets better soon and rejoins our team. There's no one tougher, he deserves every cent.

Give Chuck an over priced asst. coach job, and let the best heart specialists in the world work with him. maybe we create (help too) 2 miracles for a man who deserves a major break.

You'll get zero high fives for this in Houston.

I know you would, but what about the organization? They gave him the chance to become the player he is today and he could not wait and signed in Sacramento so the organization is also entitled to their decisions.
All decisions are based on business thinking.
IF they decide to help him out, then this will be a class act but you can't say that is the norm or standard.
Although Chuck is not a star but I think he is a millionaire nevertheless, he can afford having good heart specialists.

Personally I wish him the best, and if he is still an athlete, hope he signs with Houston first, Sacramento second that time.

Chuck is a hell of a guy. Plays with so much passion and heart. I hope he has a speedy recovery from this set back and gets another contract but with a contender.

Get Well Chuck. I hope the Rockets can hire him as a coach till he gets better. Chuck deserved the contract he was able to get from the Kings and I hope he gets healthy enough to get back to playing if not I hope he gets better for his family that depends on him.
