Do you want him to drop dead suddenly on the the court? It's his heart, he has look after himself.

As sad as it may be... signing him back to Houston would be a disaster.
    Sorry Chuck.

Houston should sign him as a assistant coach.

    You are human garbage.

On topic, does anyone know whether this is career-ending for Chuck? Or is it something he can have repaired like Turiaf or Green?

Really makes you wonder about our team doctors, though, that they only found out in Sacramento and never during the years he was here. Could it be something that just came up now, or is it something genetic...or...?

Feel bad for the Chuckwagon. He should forget about Basketball and focus on his health at this time.

I don't know. If we get second opinions from different doctors perhaps the Chuckwagon is actually still able to play, like the Cat says he can. I don't know.

If that were the case, would you guys be willing to sign him? I don't want him to drop dead but doctors have been wrong before.

    Horrible news for Chuck.

    :(

As I recall, some NBA team doctors detected a problem with Eddie Curry's heart years ago, and yet the Knicks assumed the risk and cleared him to play.

So maybe if it's a minor issue, such as a murmur or arthymia, a different team could clear him.

    But it doesn't look good.

I think the Kings may have already looked for second opinions and the answers were so troubling that they had to void his contract.

Why do bad things like this happen to the good guys only?

How in the hell did this never come up when he played for us, I seriously question our team doctors at this point.

Hopefully his heart condition isn't too serious or else he's going to get the blacklist like Cuttino did....no team wants to waive a physical on a player with a heart condition and then something bad happen to them during a game.

People were making jokes on twitter? WTF were they saying? How could anybody dislike Chuck and want to make jokes at his expense?

(Don't get me wrong, though, I think there are very few topics that should be off-the-table when it comes to humor, but in this context, I assume that the jokes were maybe a little malicious or from people who don't respect Chuck's game or attitude.)

Juwan Howard had a heart problem for a while in 2005, too, IIRC.
