Their current video for "I Wanted to Tell Her" is a remake of the dance scene from RAD! The song has a very mid-to-late 80's sound. Being an old guy, I very much dig what I've heard from this band so far - but the video is just plain fun for those who remember the movie.

Also a remake of Helltrack could be very good if done right.

You must realize that's a cover of an early Ministry song, no?

Honestly, I didn't even catch that until you mentioned it. With Sympathy was not an album I listened too very much at all. The only thing I remembered from that album was "Revenge", but only because it got so much airplay at clubs and 120minutes.
However I've never bought the idea that Al only made that kind of music because he was forced too...I've always thought he just progressed and decided to say that because it wasn't "cool" due to the direction they went.

I still love "All Day" though

Exactly. I've had the (dis)pleasure of hanging out with Al a few times. What a douche. It's funny that the earliest works will be the ones that have the most staying power. The stuff he was "ashamed of" from the techno/dance days is his most creative work.

FYI, the Holy Ghost! cover is also a "cover" of the original. The original is in the link I posted. Here's the Holy Ghost! pic:

Wow, I never saw the Holy ghosts album cover or I'd have definitely caught the reference. It's funny how some people take themselves too seriously. I seem to recall Al making comments about J lydon being a has been. A 50 yr old on stage belting out public image... Seems with Al still working on music, he's become what he used to make fun of.

I don't know what the point of covering the song, music video and album cover is. It all seems way too derivative for a band that has already put out some great material of their own.

Holy Ghost played Fitzgerald's a month ago. It was a great show, but the best/worst part -- well, besides dudes unknowingly slobbering over the tranny opener -- was the lead singer not being able to properly address our city between his fatigue and drunkenness.

    SINGER: HEY WHAT'S UP DALLLLLAAAASSS!?
    AUDIENCE: HOUSTON!
SINGER: Oh s***, I knew that! YEAAHH HOOOUUSTOOOON!

    [5 min later]
SINGER: Sorry about earlier - that's just how tired I am. Seriously, I don't do any of that f***ing pandering and s***, but I know you guys are Houston, you guys are the best!

    [10 min later]
SINGER: LET ME HEAR YOU DAALLLLAASSSS!!!
    AUDIENCE: BOOOOOOOOOOOOO
[Singer looks confused while his bandmates are facepalming and/or laughing at him]
AUDIENCE: DALLAS SUCKS! DALLAS SUCKS! DALLAS SUCKS! (Repeat 10X)
[The band is from NY, and presumably Giants fans... or they just hate Dallas like most reasonable people and gladly join in the chants]
    BAND MEMBER: F*** DALLAS!
    AUDIENCE: YEAAHHHHH. WOOOO. ETC.

    THE END.

Here's a 25th anniversary Rad screening with bmx legends Eddie Fiola and Martin Aparijo surprising the audience with Bicycle Boogie-stunting to Send Me An Angel, to appreciative applause.

Great band with an inclination for the style of decades past.

That is awesome..you can tell Martin is a little rusty though. I think he just started riding again like a year ago or so.

yea, I don't post much anymore - seems like the Freestyle BMX forum has slowed down quite a bit over the last few years. Not in the BMX Cafe too often either. I'm here more than any other forum.
