The guy can definitely create his own shot.

Young Kobe right there. Just needs a Superman to help him out.

Would have been epic had he been traded on draft night to a struggling Orlando team...

IMO, Brooks and Reggie Jackson are the two rookies that will most exceed expectations this season.

He definitely looks skilled, explosive and capable of creating his own offense.

Gotta learn how to take it to the basket, though. His ball skills are nifty but what good does it do him if just results in some sort of Steve Francis-esque off-balanced jumper?

P.S. A 10 point performance is worthy of a highlight video? Geez.

He knows how to take it to the basket and can finish after contact. What makes him much different from SF is that sweet, consistent jumper.

Don't know about you, but I'm loving what Batkins is doing. It's much appreciated and, so far, I'm looking at every video he posts, college and NBA. It's good quality stuff with no fluff.

People, I suggest you subscribe to this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/BlakeAtkins22#p/u

I'm an A-10 guy so I watched Brooks play a lot in college. I do agree that he can get to the basket. The skills and burst are there, that's key. I just hate to see a guy dribble, make a nice move then do the Francis thing and settle for some wild low percentage jumper like Brooks was doing in that video clip instead of taking it to the rim.

I didn't realize this video was made by one of CF's own members. For that, I apologize for my comment.

    Thanks for all the love.

..and yeah 10 points isn't much, but I know people want to see MarShon Brooks play.

These videos are so good and to-the-point that I'll watch almost anybody.

For example, it didn't quite dawn on me how great a game Christian Watford of IU had against Kentucky until I watched your video.

I really think people put too much emphasis on creating off the dribble. Every streetballer can 'create off the dribble'. I'd be impressed if I saw him moving well without the ball, shooting off screens, setting good screens, and converting right when he gets the ball instead of taking five dribbles and pulling up for a jumper.

Marshon is the next big star and the Rockets had two shots to get him!!! Man, this will sting for many years to come. The sad thing about it is he would have had a better chance at contending here than he will have in New Jersey. Watch and see. He will have a far better career than most of the players picked ahead of him.

Totally missed the buzz on this guy but why are you all so hyped about a 25th pick?
