This is not surprising to me. Scola is very underrated here. (So is Gay, who some posters think is "trash" for some reason.)

Time to trade for Al Jefferson. Clutchest frontcourt in the NBA, haha.

Scola has always been clutch. Ever watch him play for Argentina? (against anyone besides US)

One of the reasons I don't mind the trade not going through, my favorite Rocket player.

Solid and consistent post moves + money mid range = reliable in the clutch

Is there a possibility that maybe Scola just doesn't shoot as much in the final 2 minutes, which would give a smaller sample size for this statistic? I hope someone proves me wrong, Scola is my favorite rocket. Take that LeBron. ;)

I've wanted Big Al ever since McHale was the coach.

I would seriously do a Martin and Thabeet for Jefferson.

I've always found Rockets failings during clutch time more a problem with their defense than offense. But perception is always the opposite. People generally place more emphasis on failing to score than failing to keep opponents from scoring.

Agree, we'll work our asses off offensively to get an open shot and then give up an easy lay-up the other end.... False economy.

notice the list..take out Thorton and most of them are PFs.. Shows you how pick n rolls are really utilized in today's game and how PFs mid range game had got better.

Where are the superstars? Maybe they do not attempt that much in the last 2 minutes? Have you considered that?

Maybe todays NBA so called Superstars are overrated.
Scola will be ourleading scorer, putting up 20/10 nightly. I can see him even getting a couple of triple doubles. I will happily call him my superstar. Lol. Along with Lowery and Martin.

For you it is alright. But think what excitement and revenue the Bulls for example get with a young superstar in Rose, or the Thunder with Durantula.
Fans and owners are mouth watering.

This stat isn't that abnormal, if you play around with the Clutch ratings you'll notice all kinds of patterns that aren't too surprising. Scola and other post players tend to shoot higher percentage but don't produce that many points, and Perimeter players produce more points since they get to the line but shoot a lower percentage from the field, post players like Scola are assisted on a high % of their shots...etc.
