I hate sayings like this, as if sucking today means we've drained the suck from our system and will be incapable of playing poorly in the playoffs too. Whatever happens in the playoffs, today's performance won't affect how we play then.
I don't want to be the one to sit here and have a knee-jerk reaction but based on what we've seen in the past three games, I don't think that calling for Yates to be the starter is justified at all. Yes, he did have the game winning drive, but I would give most credit of this offense even having an inkling of success to Foster. I know we're looking to Yates to be a manager and not a game winner, but without some throws down field, I don't think we can be a playoff contender sadly.
Just a bad game all around. Defense came out looking to play ball, but this Panthers team scores on everyone. The offense giving them great field position, giveaways, and burning little clock was a recipe for disaster. There was some talk that Kubiak might go conservative/vanilla to not give away anything to opposing teams in the postseason....but what the hell. Go into the postseason hot. Don't pour water into your own gas tank. And I also agree - Herring is showing that Wade Phillips should be the one getting coach of the year buzz.
well....12-4 will be nice. Ima feel a whole lot better if GB loses for some strange reason. Bad luck from the start combined with seemingly not ready to play
This. Philosophically, this is important. Running the table in the end (like the Pack did last year) takes a well-oiled machine that's clicking. While the win streak has been AMAZING, the Texans are far from 100% clicking. Lumps NEEDED to be taken.
