LOL what are you talking about? I understand for most old people MJ was basketball jesus, however his media hype was all about dunks and clutch stepback 3 pointers over 2 defenders to win the game.

    "The Shot"

Any of those ring a bell?

Most of MJ's game winners were never 3 pointers. MJ was fundamentally sound when he first stepped on the court--it's just that in his younger years he had superior athleticism. Kobe was the same--he had more flash in his game in his younger years. It wasn't until the mid 2000s when he developed a deadly jumper.

Y'all crazy as hell comparing him to Kobe.

    Kobe's basketball IQ + skill >>>>>>>>>> Marshon

This guy is never gonna be anything close to Bryant. Maybe a JR Smith type player with less explosiveness one day. And I don't even care for Kobe too...

Maybe you can't comprehend what you put in your own op or even my post. My first line I said comparing him to Kobe is ridiculous for obvious reasons. Now you try and say you aren't doing that.

Are you serious??? I'm one of the biggest Kobe homers but to say having Kobe as a role model is so much better than MJ is silly. I'm sorry, did Kobe pattern his game after someone else not named Michael Jordan???
To say MJ didn't have complete B-ball skills and was known for game-winning 3's and clutch step back 3's does not reflect well on your part man.
You need to step back and go watch some old Bulls games from the mid 90's as MJ matured. Kobe's maturation process on court is very similar to MJ's.

Come on man, obviously Kobe's BBIQ and skill is higher than a rookie SG but I think the point of the thread is how he's patterned his game after Kobe. Much like when Kobe came in the league, it was obvious that he'd patterned his game after MJ and was the closest thing to an MJ clone(after years of guys like Harold Miner being called the next MJ). Now you have a guy like Marshon who plays in a similar fashion as Kobe.

I don't think anyone is saying he'll be anything close to Kobe but the point of the thread is how similar his game on the court is to Kobe's(when compared to other 2 guards).

I think the worst part of this thread is that I've read this comparison before during the draft. You stole someone else's bad comparison and passed it off as your own.

The shot wasn't a 3 pointer. Most of Michael's famous shots were game winning TWO pointers. And Michael Jordan was very fundamentally sound coming into the league, much more so then Kobe. Also, Kobe modeled his game after Jordan himself, so him being a better person to model your game after is moot point.
