I'm surprised to find out that this is not a 3-YO thread brought back from the heap. It has been about that long that no NBA team has nabbed this "talent."

I was all-for-it a couple of years ago but have cooled on the idea-- never having even seen him play since BC.

    Sean Williams is not 6'10.

I remember there were rumors that he avoided the measurements at the pre-draft camp, because he knew he was going to measure 1-2 inches shorter then his listed 6'10 height.

Why? Because you know of him? He had his chance in the NBA and didn't make it. All 'potential' but no substance.

He was GREAT in the NBDL, I would not mind giving him a look if he has gotten his life straightened out.

Should have picked him up last year, IMO.

Rocketblaze is right. I just found the predraft camp measurements. There are no measurements for Williams. I wonder if the wingspan is made up also.

Unfortunately for him, undersized centers usually up out of the league. Their rebounding numbers take a huge hit, when they take the leap from college. Everybody is taller than them.

Ben Wallace and Chuck Hayes are rare cases of undersized centers that can compete with PFs and C's, who are 3-5" taller.

Wasn't Williams like 19 years old then, he might have grown a bit since then.

NO. we need a legit center who can block and play defense. Ultimately we need a rim protector.

He left before his senior year, I think. It would make him 22 yrs old in his rookie year.

The D-league has lots of tweeners though. Most of those of guys do not have NBA size, so he would be very successful there. He wouldn't be undersized in the d-league.

Yeah, the Dleague is a wings league and very little defense.

No, because I rather see the Rockets give him a second chance at Succeeding in the league than the MAVs. If he goes there and he becomes a player we will be kicking ourselves.

The same league that Terrence Williams averages 30-10 & 10?

(I do like Sean Williams and wouldn't mind a singing...)

No doubt about it the DLeague is pretty flawed...heck Mike Harris dominated down there.

Scola and Jeff Green are standing at an angle closer to the camera. Compare him to Al Horford on that picture, he is 6'10. He's often compared to Theo Ratliff who was a legit center and in his prime, a premier shot blocker. He could easily be a top 3 shot blocker in the NBA right now.

No argument, but hell I think Mike Harris could be a damn solid player If he was given regular minutes...
