I like Terrence's game a lot... But it seems McHale is using his first team to play pick and roll + kick out offense. Terrence can't shoot. Let him play on the second team and run the ball with Lee and Dragic at his side. Also, playing on the second team lets him run isolation and do a lot of cuts toward an open rim. T-Will I've noticed is very solid off of a cut and moves well off-ball. Defense is spectacular... rebounding is just wow. I'll chalk up his mistakes here to butterflies... T-Will really showed up in that second half.
6th man or starter he needs to get a lot of minutes this season. He can get to the basket effortlessly, pass, play D, and Muray even said he is the BEST rebounding wing player in the NBA. 14 points 9 rebounds 1 block All of it off the bench in the 2nd half. Keep it up Twill!!!
He will be our Von Wafer.. Hey what happened to Jermaine Taylor?? I thought we picked him back up he wasn't listed on the box score.
He has EXTREME TALENT, and I don't think his jumper is broken. He just needs to take all of them from 15 feet in, Jordan style...
He needs to know his role. He overwhelms himself with his talent and flashiness. Stick to what you do best, attack the basket and stop being pg.
Oh yeah. Dude is an athletic freak. He jumps higher than ANYONE I have ever seen. His jumper mechanics seem solid, they are just off. I've seen a hitch in his shot during his free throws though... Hopefully that's just from jittery feelings.
I know Terrence looked like absolute **** this game in terms of PG potential... but he has the capability to be a good assist man. His passes (when he's not jumping in the air) are accurate and blazingly fast. His height can help him dish to post players if need be as well.
Von Vafer was an athletic shooter, T-Will can rebound, play defense and create his own shot. Expect much more from T-Will.
He looked bad in the first but started coming on in the 2nd half. He just took longer to warm up than the others, but once he got started he was on point.
Twills rebounding ability seems great atm. But he has always been trying to convince the world that his true role is a PG. Tonight he failed at that but I hope in time, he will realize that he is on the team to score and perhaps rebound. Let Lowry/Dragic/Flynn/Lin etc makes plays please.
I think his problem was adjusting to the pace of the actual NBA game. His played a bit slow in the first half thinking he could just jog past players and throw wonky passes. He really turned his speed on in the second half.
Hes more a Drive past you guy then a Pull up in shoot shooter. I think him running point would be a good choice giving him a option to drive in the pick and roll
His rebounding was the most impressive thing to me tonight, I am not impressed by the scoring as he was playing mostly D-league end of bench players in the 2nd half. But his rebounding was outstanding, and when he was in control his shoot looked smooth. Good start, he needs to keep it up. Honestly, I love the idea of him as a 6th man, 2nd PG type of player .... DD
All in all, he had a good game once he adjusted his speed. As far as the poster asking about JT, he is recovering from an ankle injury.
