To be fair, that's because they are amateurs.

There are probably a hundred college students out there with better post up fundamentals than Thabeet.

He's just tall and decently athletic.

Is it enough that you would keep him around to develop?

They are all amateurs compared to Kevin McHale.

K-Mac must feel like Neil DeGrasse Tyson teaching 1st grade math (and two of his 3 students are special ed).

A DeGrasse Tyson reference in basketball? Meh, why not?

He was playing harder, the lack of competitiveness of these scrimmages is pretty strange.

You hear stories about how MJ wanted to win at everything and he drove the rest of the guys to compete.

We don't have that type of leadership and it shows in these scrimmages.

I think they don't respect McHale as much as they respected Adelman. Either that or the players are less interested in basketball, and more interested in themselves ($$$, winning championships, and avoiding injuries) after this grueling lock out.

Thank you, ATW. These words speak volumes; all the Morey haters on this forum should stop trying to kick him while he's down. He's looking everywhere he can to find talent to help this team and he can't do his job with the commissioner and certain self-entitled owners acting like turds in the punch bowl.

Finally cut up the scrimmage highlights and posted them ... about to post the McHale speech at the end as well.

Just added a couple and the McHale video.

Well, personally I'm "hoping" we don't do some patch move to try to claw our way to the 8th seed. Makes no sense to me. I'm excited to watch these guys develop ... I'd like to see what comes of Jonny Flynn, Marcus Morris, Patrick Patterson, Terrence Williams and Jordan Hill.

I'm really liking what I see from Morris. He looks like a no-nonsense, hard-working guy... really a tough, strong player who I think could be a Rudy T-style spread-the-floor big. He has good range on his jumper.

I take T-Will's three-point shooting with a grain of salt. Where I am really optimistic, or hopeful, is that he can gain confidence defensively. He is such an athletic specimen that he could become very good at that end. Offensively he's still a work in progress... he's got good court vision but I'm not real confident in his scoring abilities at this level yet. I'm hopeful that he really just didn't get on Adelman's good side early on and that the Rockets have some untapped potential here in playing him.

I lost confidence in Jordan Hill last year... but McHale definitely focuses on his development (but then, he has to considering he's probably his starting center right now). Crossing my fingers.

Thanks Clutch. Awesome vids. It's so cool you have this kind of access to the team now.

What did P-Pat say at the end there? Boat Leg? Was he talking about McHale's limp?

    Thanks Sooner... appreciate it.

I was wondering the same thing -- so was McHale, apparently. Kind of funny...

Rondo and Chris Paul dribble a lot too.
Dribbling doesn't always mean offensive stagnation.

    1. Jeremy Lin is playing for a roster spot.
    2. We're not a championship team, who cares?
    3. I'd take positive locker room energy over vicious and snappy training camps where everyone is pissed at each other. Some players play better angry (Kobe, Wade, MJ) some players don't work well in that mood.

Thanks a million Clutch. You have made this one of the best training camps ever on Clutchfans, especially considering the circumstances.

Just a question Clutch; are you rendering in 360p because 720p takes too long?
