As soon as I got my acceptance letter to UTSA and my .edu e-mail I created one. This was back I think December 2005.
One way, if you can remember your first Facebook friend --> open up that friend's page --> On the TOP-RIGHT, click that gear icon --> click "See Friendship" Up top it will list the month and year you became FB friends with that person, with a bunch more activity info with that friend.
Oh, ****. Do me a favor and ignore all those PM's I've been sending you, okay? Better yet, just go ahead and delete them. PLEASE.
Long time ago. So long ago that my female friends have stopped posting slutty pictures and instead are posting pictures of their kids.
Back in 2004. UofH wasn't part of the network so I sent a request for the school to be accepted. Once it was accepted, I had to use my uh.edu email. I remember the editing other people's walls! I'm confused with this timeline thing. Is Facebook going to post everything I've done on FB since I signed up? I'm kinda freaking out. I know I have posted stupid **** on there! I have my bosses and co-workers on FB. Not to mention, this is before I met my Hubby.
January '07. Though I didnt start using it until late 2009. My thoughts as well. Its all a tool, just like Clutchfans is a tool. When I don't use Clutchfans for a while, I dont think to remove posts or cancel my account. Though each site has its intended purposes, I decide how much time I want to put into it, and WHAT I want to use it for. I don't get into "mania". Myspace ran on that whole "addiction" draw. Myspace is definitely a flawed site based on pretentious self promotion. And thats why people left it, because after a while everyone saw how much they became sleezy whores to the "scene", trying to be normal there was like inviting your aunt to the club with you. Even there I personally didnt care one way or the other if it was "so 5 minutes ago".
Yes, pretty much everything. I went on someone's profile, clicked the year they signed up. Then Clicked the "All Stories" option for that year and it brought up everything they ever publicly posted. Better go and hide those old events lol. It SEEMS a really big deal. Though Facebook has kinda been BEHIND everyone else about past postings. Think of it like blogs and photo sites like Flickr, or the dreaded Myspace. Its always been EASY to see everything ever posted to those accounts. I've always WANTED to see my old posts (they're the same crap as my current ones)
It's really not. You can preview your timeline and delete anything you don't want people to see. You should do it before the 23rd before it goes public.
9/7/04, the first day registration was open to UT students I believe. /earlyadopter Now it's just a tool to keep in touch with some people.
