Hi all. I'm in Prague by myself, and need some ideas for tonight. I've went out many times already, but didn't really manage to meet any new people. I've gone to bars, clubs, coffee shops and so forth, had a good time, but always seemed a little awkward just standing there alone. I'm sure many of you guys have to travel alone. What do you guys do for fun? I'm not asking for exact places to go, but ideas of what can be done to make the stay more enjoyable. I've been here for 2 months now, so I've seen all the cool sights like ten times and am pretty saturated of it. Thanks all for the helpful suggestions. Ross
Make yourself useful. Go Christmas shopping. Then, then afterwards, teach a bartender how to make a Hot Buttered Rum.
I was in Prague just a couple weeks ago (second time there). It's definitely not the easiest place to meet people; it's not really the party scene that it's hyped up to be (from my experience). If worse comes to worse, go on one of those organized pub crawls. You'll basically be hanging out exclusively with Brits, Americans, and Australians, but that's necessarily a bad thing. I'd recommend this pub crawl over the others; it goes to the famed 5-story club (which is okay). The other pub crawl(s) go to a decent spot (Chapeau Rouge). The DJ's were actually pretty good (old school hip hop). If you're looking for something more "high end", check out the Buddha Bar (one of the few Buddha Bars with a hotel). Other stuff: if you haven't gone on any tours, I'd HIGHLY recommend these: -Communism & Nuclear Bunker tour (apparently ~3 times per month they have a club/party down there as well) -Beer Tour - AWESOME. The guy who does it is really chill. Great way to pregame/meet people. Well worth the cost (you get a discount if you go on some of the other tours, like the communism tour or the underground tour). Starts at 6:30 I believe.
Thanks. I've tried the pub crawl and it wasn't too bad, but haven't checked out Buddha bar or any of the non traditional tours. The beer tour seems pretty interesting for tonight. I really appreciate the advice. Thanks.

If you are there for a long (ish) period. join some sort of sports club. Play tennis, soccer, basketball or something. Absolute best way to meet people, and then you won't be going out alone anymore
