I feel Morey wants to give Dalembert a 1yr deal, and if he blows up the Rockets can trade him for something at the deadline. Otherwise, I don't see any point to it. Any quoting Dalembert's rebound/block totals is meaningless. He's not an elite defender. And he's a HORRIBLE offensive player. The best comparison I can come up with is Kelvin Cato. Except he's already past his prime.
Les Alexander wants us to make the playoffs. I don't think anyone on our staff has confidence in Thabeet. Look for him to be Vipers starting center for the rest of the season.
I don't care about Thabeet either, Hill is fine, PPat is fine...just get the guys that will be here in 3 years more burn, if Thabeet is one of them, him too. DD
It's a smokescreen. I bet you we trade for a center by tomorrow. Too many people on our roster and not enough minutes. Lowry, Williams, Patterson and Morris should get heavy minutes.
Wait a minute! Since when did you start feeling this way about Thabeet? You do realize that some of us read your posts, don't you, DD? :-D-
It's unfair to ask an organization to not improve the team when given the opportunity. These guys want to make the playoffs and if we aren't good enough to make the playoffs, dalembert isn't gonna get us there. However, if we are good enough to get there, he could help us make a deep run.
Let's sign dalembert! To all you rebuilding fans, he can try to teach thabeet a thing or two. It wouldn't hurt to win a few more games and make the playoffs to gain more experience for our young guys either. The next draft is deep, so we will get a quality player regardless.
Honestly, don't want Dalembert around our young guys at all. He is known for being a selfish player and while a fantastic human being off the court...not a great person on it. Oh and I don't want a QUALITY player...I wan't one with SUPERSTAR potential.
I don't think they will sign Dalembert. I think they will run with the team that they have assembled. This is the reason for all of the random signings. I think this Jeff Adrien guy will stick, thus rendering a move for Dallie unnecessary.
I would not be surprised, I posted in that thread...but I expect Hill to start. I do want to see if Thabeet can develop though. DD
For those of you wondering what it would take to sign this cat to a one year deal, Carl Landry, our former hero, just signed a one year contract with the Hornets for $8.8 million bucks. Chew on that! http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...mostviewed+(L.A.+Times+-+Most+Viewed+Stories)
