Would it be outlandish to offer him, say, a 4 year/$30 million deal? I think that would give him decent coin plus guaranteed money over a good period of time.

 

Really man? You don't think Yao got dunked on like that? Or Hakeem (Kevin Johnson)? It happens to everyone. Dalembert is a legit shot blocker and rebounder. He is nothing special but he is far better than what we can put out there now. If you think Dalembert will get posterized, imagine what Thabeet will get if he plays a lot of minutes.

Honestly this would just be a stupid signing that reeks of desperation.

 

We had A LOT of worst FA signings in the past. 8pts-8rebs-1.4blks in 24 minutes. That's better than Jordon. Sam is still a very productive center and would instantly be our starting center. We wouldn't have to watch McHale get embarrassed every night with Hill out there starting. Look at it as another "asset" added to the team. I hope we do sign Dalambert and soon.

Not that I'm a big fan of Dalembert or anything but all good shot blockers get dunked on once in a while. Look at Mutombo, Olajuwon, Mourning, etc.
