This. Obvious that the contract, even though its a two year deal, is non-guaranteed and meant for training camp the remainder of the this next week. Meaning he's someone they want in RGV. For a player like Adrien, its a chance to light it up in the D-Leauge and have the chance at getting called up to the NBA if a team has the injury bug or makes major trades. Dont worry, this isnt the future of the Rockets.
Mike Harris is a combo forward (SF/PF). Jeff Adrien is a PF/C. Very undersized, yes. But a PF/C nonetheless.
Adrien has LONG arms, and what's his name has BIG hands. Is Morey down to the bottom of the potential barrel that all we can get are quality physical characteristics of limbs? What about 7 Footers!
IF Morey signed a 7 footer, they would have short arms and little hands, because they would be cheap, and someone no one else wants, Such as Theabust.
I don't understand the hate for this signing. Nearly every one of you haven't even heard this dude's name before this thread. He has been tearing it up in the D League. It's a low risk, high reward move. Wait til you actually see him on the court until you make your judgements. We aren't exactly booming with physical post players now are we?
D-League is more suited for guards. Not many true bigs there. How many bigs have made a successful jump from there? Marcus Fizer looked like a MVP playing there.
Man you waisting your time with these people. I see you kinda new to the site. Expect these types of posts after every signing and every game we lose. If it's not someone that is a all-star, they are going to tear the player down, tear DM down.... This was the case with drafting Aaron Brooks and C Landry. Also with Scola since he wasn't unkown and didn't have the physicals on paper. Same thing when we traded for Lowry and sent Rafer away. I agree with you. I think you have to give the guy a chance to play before you go passing judgements on his game and how it might help us. If he gets in there and is rebounding 9 - 10 per game they will love him like Chuckwagon. Oh, they didn't like Chuckwagon either 6 years ago when he was signed. He was only 6'6 so how could he play in the post in the NBA???
