Move along, nothing to see here: another undersized forward, Morey loves these guys. Why, I don't know.
Unless there is going to be a 20 man rotation, something has to happen. I have never seen so many unknowns being signed. Even if we ended with the worst record, Stern would screw us out of the first pick in draft.
I could see Morey trading away some starter like Martin and Scola for some picks. I do notice this guy's size and it just tells me that McHale and Morey have ZERO confidence in Thabeet. They wouldn't be signing two Centers (Sanham and Smith) and a this guy if they knew Thabeet were a viable option.
Picked up Jeremy Lin (GSW) off waivers Interest in Reggie Williams (GSW) Signed Jeff Adrien to 2 year contract (GSW)
who knows what the front office is thinking. however, we do know that they had all summer to think of plan A~Z. The Pau (even if we overpaid) Gasol + Nene/Marc move was ballsy if not anything else. The question with our team seems to be that we have enough pure talent on our roster. Now, do we gamble and see if that talent will develop with a void to fill (C and SF spot) or do we select a few to give up on and just get a Kaman or Dalembert to patch us up for a playoff run? I think we have too many youth on our team. There have been many mentions of Kaman from N.O. I think a Thabeet/Dragic+low pick combo could do the trick.
You have Hill and Morris could fill in easily. You have to think that Thabeet isn't doing well in camp and isn't going to beat Hill for the starting job at the 5 and therefor they need another PF.
Yea they did they played together but thabeet got drafted first really and yeah I believe in thabeet he came in 1st rocket game in for like 40 Second my man Got 1 block in 1 play ?
http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3217/carl-landry I know landry woulda wanna come back he said he did. but morey is signing weird ass low ass names...sigh..............
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7355776/new-orleans-hornets-carl-landry-agree-deal Coulda sign him for 1 year for that much...wow morey!
I think we are all starving for a difference making move and continue to get these types instead. Nothing wrong with the signing, nice player who could be molded in Chuck's imagine down the road.
