Suprised I haven't heard any contending team going after him. All I've heard is Portland and New Orleans thrown out there as a destination

jwquick Jason Quick Agent Mark Bartelstein confirms Blazers still talking with his client, Carl Landry. "We will make a decision tomorrow,'' Bartelstein says.
Just read on twitter he resigned with the Hornets... here's the link Smith: Hornets Re-Sign F Carl Landry http://sbn.to/vMsWQ3 1 Year 9 million... wow
KBergCBS Ken Berger Carl Landry will stay in New Orleans on a one-year, $8.75M deal, source confirms.
Interesting. I guess that the Hornets gave him the contract because (1) they don't have anyone better to spend the money on this season, and (2) they don't want to tie the buyer of the franchise up with with any long term liability. In fact, they want to buyer to be able to go shopping in the 2012 FA market if he so wishes. Carl is taking the extra up front money in exchange for giving up long-term security. BTW, one thing I don't get is what happened to Landry's rebounding. He was a fine rebounder as a rookie (limited sample, only played 1/2 year, I know), got worse the 2nd year, and even worse thereafter. His rebound rate is almost like that of a SF, not PF. Just strange.
