Why would you want to date a Mormon? Can't go out drinking, can't go out for coffee, can't even see R-rated movies. Doesn't seem like much fun, coupled with a real low chance at sex = no thanks.
You're looking at it wrong. 1. You can go out drinking and have a designated driver. 2. You can go for coffee and she can drink whatever she wants. Places have other drinks. 3. She can see an R-rated movie. I don't know where you get that idea from.
I'm a little shocked by the "this is so wrong" type of deal, I've seen plenty worse on the board. That said, I have been diplomatic and insightful towards the Moslems, Jews, Christians, or whoever the hell else there is and this is the only comment that earned be some feedback. So works for me
See, I didn't know all this but this makes it all the more challenging and if I can conquer this challenge it will it all the more worth while.
Deckard's been very sensitive lately for some reason. I just thought it was funny as hell, albeit a tad stereotyping.
Is she any relation to Jon Huntsman? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h94iTnGQ0oI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
any repression would be an anecdotal situation. I'm a practicing mormon and havent been pressured into anyting i've done. People expect certain standards to be upheld but how is that different than any other religion? I'm 30 and live my own life (well whatever life my wife allows). If anyone has a problem with a mormon, it could be an individual thing. It is a little different culturally in Utah though. There the society has a greater percentage of all types of mormons and so you see the different groups expressed in greater numbers.
Amore Vincit Omnia. I believe this, too. NICE. ima_drummer2k, I think it has developed into that kind of thread... about marriage... I do think other people have realized, like you did first, that all he wanted was a little bootay... I've been to Pensacola. They have nice beaches, sir.
I grew up with a Mormon woman who was a very close friend and who, not incidentally, was and is extremely hot. We're still very close today. She's 42 and she just lost her virginity. Because she just got married. To a Mormon. What DarkHorse posted here is consistent with everything I've known about my friend and about her family and all their Mormon friends as well. Love does not conquer all in this case. It's nothing like a breach of faith in Catholicism. My understanding is that if you marry outside your religion you are essentially leaving the faith. Same thing with sex outside of marriage. The rules are different with this faith than with others. In Islam there are sects that allow for different things, as there are in Judaism, all non-Mormon Christian faiths, virtually any other religion. In Kosovo the population is overwhelmingly Muslim but most of them drink alcohol. You will not find a sect of Mormonism where it is acceptable to drink alcohol. And you sure as heck won't find one where a non-Mormon man will get lucky with a Mormon woman.
I was going to start a thread at some point about the women of pentecostals. Admittedly my sample is small but the 3 women that are penecostals that I have met(and the sisters in their family) are the biggest c*m slut whores I have ever met. I mean if I were single and a woman told me she was pentecostal at this point you could just whip out your **** and balls while watching cspan and I believe you would have an 95% of some suckage. I don't know what they talk about at church or what the deal is but honestly I'm talking the most whoreish I have ever known. One of them was such a c*m slut that she had so many different nuts inside her she wasnt sure which of the 4 dudes she had banged in a 72 hour period was the dad. The other one worked with me and she was a total freak. She would thump the bible pretty hard but she would also thump your balls without any question. To the point of astounding. She banged literally 15 dudes in a 6 month period and that was just the ones at our work that we all knew about. The other one and her sisters ( we'll call her hannah and her sisters) was a coke titty dancer and she even tried to suck out my gf (I think they did) after a coke fueled night of drinking and carpet munching. Now everytime I hear the word 'penecostal' all I can think of is busting loads. Maybe they have some pretty freaky deaky church events and good for them, but man if you meet a penecostal girl dont pass go ,and don't pay $200, just be prepared for your splooge (to the point of shooting blanks) to fight an inner battle in her cooch with every male within 500 yards. Its really astounding. If I cared more and wasnt married I would be at the penecostal church right now running trains.
That's a pretty strong statement, Batman, and I have no reason not to believe you. I never dated a Mormon chick when I was younger and involved in the sub-culture of the '60's and early '70's, when "free love" wasn't just a slogan. I had relationships with women of just about every religion, race, and quirky personal philosophy (that last one would fit me), but not a Mormon. Putting aside none of them being Mormons, the overwhelming majority were seriously into casual sex, that being a big part of the lifestyle. So maybe what you said is the truth for most Mormon women. Without that personal experience, I must differ to those who have it, when nothing I've read would dispute it.
So yeah, I would definitely say that Batman's statement is mostly accurate. Believe it or not, most all practicing Mormons (note the qualifier) really do take their faith seriously. The one thing that's not really true is that it isn't considered "leaving the faith" if you marry someone who isn't Mormon. More than anything else, its just considered highly impractical. There is a very strong family message in the church, including the notion of working together as a family to keep everyone strong in the faith and working towards building a family that continues after we die. You can imagine that that vision is considerable more difficult if one or the other parent isn't on board. Having said that, there are a number of families at my local church where only one parent is a member of the Church, and they're just as much first class citizens as the rest of us. In fact, in some cases, spouses (or boyfriend/girlfriends) come with them even though they haven't actually joined the church. So people who aren't Mormon are definitely welcome and not uncommon. But yeah, the idea that there are "social Mormons" who go to church every week and are likely to be into casual sex are quite low.
