    The Lakers without Phil Jackson is not the same. Beating Mike Brown's Lakers doesn't come with the same mystique as beating PJ's Lakers.

    I still respect 17 championships. Don't know what's so funny, esp given that we got raped harder than them.

    Also, any decent sports fan will tell you that Dodgers and Lakers are the true LA teams.

    This. It's not like their team was bad before at all.
    They had a pretty good core of Gordon/Kaman/Griffin. They just always get injured and if cp3 gets injured, they are in trouble. Even if he doesn't I bet they squeeze in to the 7th or 8th seed.
