Still disagree. Their wings are crap, playing Paul and Billups at the 1 and 2 would be hilarious, I'm not a DJ fan, and I'm DEFINITELY not a Del Negro fan. Playoff team, sure. Still would easily take Lakers, Thunder, Grizzlies, Mavs, and maybe the Spurs over them for now.
Guess you didn't watch the mavs last year combinations of Kidd and Terry even Barea and kidd or Terry. Having Deandre Jordan erase some of those mistakes will make it work
I don't think they'll keep Billups. More trades will happen before the season starts for the clips. Spurs over them? Oh lord. Paul by himself owns the Spurs. The only thing that can stop the Clips for being the #1 team is Blake Griffin not taking that next step to become a top 5 player (so they would have 2 top 5 players); therefore, they may be a year away from being the best in the West. Lakers? Still have the twin tower + Kobe, so you can never count them out. OKC? I'll give you that. Grizz? C'mon man. Mavs? They took 2 steps back losing their best defender and a guy who creates mismatches in Barea.
This is money. We cannot underrate the importance of attaining CP3 for the Clips efforts to resign Griffin.
Hahaha seriously! 60 percent of the time DJ will be headed to the bench with two fouls and the first quarter only halfway over. And also, Jason Kidd is one of the best defensive players in the game. Paul is no slouch either but the difference between him and Kidd is that Kidd can easily guard bigger players. And Billups, guy's one of the worst defenders in the L now. Psssh.
They are going to keep Billups, they don't have a choice. You can't trade a player you picked up with amnesty for a year, the rest of the season, something like that. Honestly, t-mac, you seem like you're equating Paul-Griffin as the next Shaq-Kobe or something.
Ok Deandre 7 and 7 and 1.8 blocks tyson about what 10 and 9 with less blocls. Yes tyson is better know but if Deandre keeps improving he might be better the Tyson Next year, don't forget how young deandre is
No I think they will trade one or two for a SG and have something like 13 million in cap space too. Billups can play SG. Their GM is actually pretty good.
You are severely undervaluing Blake Griffin. He's probably top 5 PF and most likely top PF next season.
Chris Paul, healthy, is better than Kobe in the first 2 championship years of the Shaq-Kobe era. Griffin, if he can take the leap that we all know he can, can be the best big man in the league. Remember, Chris Paul is the ONLY player in the history of the league to average 18 points and 9 assists for his career. You have 2 potential top 5 players, you're a contender period. And this trade will now make the clips attractive to free agents, who are willing to sign for less to play there (ala Miami).
No they aren't gonna regret it. Do you honestly believe Minny will be that bad? They have a good shot at being better than us with Adelman there.
A guy who shoots 39-40% should not play SG. If they can't cut/trade him for something, he should backup Paul. Sucks for Bledsoe though.
