Except not as good of a scorer. Still a long way from being as good as KMart.

No question that the Rockets / Lakers offer was the better one. Anyone that says other wise is just trying to find a reason to bash the Rockets.

KMart - 28 years old, top 10 scorer 24 ppg, 2nd most efficient scorer in the league at least 6 prime years left.

Luis Scola - 18 and 9 player still in his prime on an extreamly cap freindly contract that can easily be traded if need be.

Lamar Odom - 6th man of the year that obviously could be flipped for cap space and a draft pick to Dallas.

NY's 1st this year and a very early 2nd this year in what is a very deep draft.

    Please.

    He's already better than Martin.

Heck, I'd trade Martin and Scola for him in a heartbeat.

How is this even poll-worthy? The Clippers' offer trumps the Lakers/Rockets' by far. The Clippers have overpaid for Paul, they're gonna regret giving them both Gordon AND the Wolves' pick. Either one of those is already worth more than Odom, Scola or Martin to a rebuilding team. Clips are gonna regret this.

Uh... no he is not. If the Rockets would have traded Scola and Martin or just Martin for Gordon, Daryl Morey would have been rosted.

Eric Gordon is an up and comer but he is not as good as KMart.

His defense alone makes him better than Martin.

Yeah, the Clippers actually have something to be excited about, and for years to come MIGHT be the best team in LA. It's very possible. Kobe is near the end of his career, next 3-5 years. The Lakers haven't really gotten better.

You really need to get NBA league pass. Not this year because Stern can do **** himself but go to a bar and watch him play,he killed in the Olympics.

B/c most Rocket fans in Texas don't watch the Clippers.

Eric Gordon is already a better defender/passer/playmaker than Kevin Martin ever was.

And scoring, I give Martin the edge b/c Gordon is still so young and raw; and yet gordon still put up 22 points on 45% fg on just 16 shots. But Gordon is a much better overall player.

Blake Griffin would demand to be traded if they traded Gordon for Martin.

it depends on if you are looking at it from a basketball or money stand point. no one will show up to hornets games for 2-3 years because they will be terrible. the odom, scola, martin, and dragic team is a playoff team.

i agree and also, the way it went down, was just plain ridiculous and the rockets were completely slapped in the face.

It's hard to say, overall. I thought both deals were pretty good for New Orleans.

Scola, Odom, Martin, and a draft pick. That team could possibly do better than last year's team.

With that being said, getting Kaman, Gordon, and that Minnesota draft pick is good as well. New Orleans should have a very good team in about year or two.

    For who?

I don't see Rockets getting anything from Clippers or Hornets. If Gasol had came....

I dunno, Marc and Nene were too stubborn I guess...or too loyal to bother. At least we'd be more competitive with Gasol.

Now all we can do is hope Thabeet becomes a beast and Twill becomes the next JR Smith

    Clippers.

Plus, Stern will make sure that Wolves pick lands in the top 3.

Mediocre, maybe, but I think they will be competitive next year with that draft pick of Lamb, Drummond, Davis, or Barnes.

With a few pieces, they can make a decent team, I think.

That's because the Clippers won 32 games last year with Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan. All of whom by Rockets fans estimate to be vastly superior to anybody on the Rockets. Yet the Rockets won 11 more games.

It's funny how Rockets fans belittle Rockets players because "they aren't winners", yet treat random good players from teams have consistently been crap to be the next superstar. If that Clippers deal was so great, the Clippers should've kept its core and became the next OKC.

And the Clippers guys took LAC exactly to where? And that's with legit centers and we just had CHayes last year.

I agree, the HOU-LA deal was better. That's a win-now team, veterans who have played together or know how to play together.

People championing Scola/Martin now are the same people who were dissing them last week when they thought that those guys were traded.

What happened to "Martin gives up more than he scores, Lee is better" and same with Scola?

The clippers deal is better, and you are a straight up homer if you say otherwise. Flat out.

Someone give me their insight on why Clippers trade is better.

I already said it to my friend and he's a complete idiot and thinks the Martin/Scola/Odom combination is better than the Clippers combo...
