I provided the link click it. Carl you know better than this. Bruce Lee is the Chinese Tim Tebow. And Chuck Norris the white Tim Tebow.
It's 15 pages now. this is nothing. when Jeremy Lin was signed with the Warriors last year his thread reached 50+ pages on the Warriors forum, until the thread was locked. he's that BIG. I haven't noticed any racist comments here. and i'm asian. If you ask Jeremy Lin what his type of person he is, he'll say... "I was born in America, my parents are from Taiwan and my grandparents are from China. You can call me American, Taiwanese or Chinese... but i'm first and foremost I'm a Christian." hahaha... the asian Tim Tebow. Rex Walters is mixed japanese/white with plenty of asian friends. Yet he himself says he's not 100% white and can understand the "proudness" people feel about Lin. he says, no one noticed he was asian when he was first played in the league because his last name doesn't give people a clue. you can watch his training camp videos and follow him here, http://asianathletes.wordpress.com/tag/jeremy-lin/ and other asian ballers if you're interested, http://asianathletes.wordpress.com/ *race doesn't matter in sports, but it does matter in life and sports is a part of life*
that's quite a random collection of Deep Thoughts there, anthoang2k2 a lot of the discussion over Lin is people wondering how a kid who went to Harvard and didn't get any offers from big Div 1 schools can fare in the NBA. even if he were black people would be curious. personally I'm wondering what Morey saw in this kid's D League play that warranted a contract. I saw a bit of Lin with the Warriors and he wasn't impressive. I guess many of the 4 million Chinese Americans care that he's Chinese but most non-Chinese Asians really couldn't care less. just like most people in Asia couldn't care less. I'm not Asian but I go to Asia quite a bit for business and I can tell you that the average Korean really doesn't care about Pacquiao, Chinese don't care about Ichiro, Filipinos don't care about Yuna Kim, Japanese don't care about Yao etc. The whole idea of Asian American athlete is pretty much irrelevant for most of the world, including most Asians themselves. They rather watch someone good rather than root for someone because he's "Asian." And yes that's definitely an "Asian" mindset but there's much less racial jingoism (but more nationalism) than you see in the US with blacks, whites, Jews, latinons etc.

Just like Chinese people really don't care about Yao right?? You really need to stop making posts about things you know very little about.
