They did the same with Game of Thrones. Granted that's how it was written in the books but it's not new for HBO.
That was a great read. Thanks! I think, slowly, Richard is becoming my favorite character. Like the interview stated, the two people he connected with after the war are all dead. His loyalness to Jimmy is down right admirable. The moment he says he'll kill them all if he wants to... man, what a great show. Bravo season 2, bravo.
Your bolded part and the one right above it was present day. The very first one (tagging his mom) was flashback.
It was until he was snorting that heroin and his mom was trying to get him to come home and deal with the death of his wife.
Gyp is a madman with a serious inferiority complex, Bobby has been doing a solid job with him. Last 2 episodes should be crazy.
I had a feeling a certain someone was going to get nixed and once that box was delivered I knew exactly what happened.
Brilliant episode, especially one character's reaction to "the box", the other character's reaction to that reaction, and the subsequent flashback that confirmed what many of us had already guessed.
It was done perfectly way, the wife had guessed Margaret Thompson's situation a few episodes back so she was quite content with herself when it was finally confirmed.
The season has been CRAZY. My prediction: Spoiler Margaret Thompson will soon come to grips with the fact that morally, she is no better than Nookie. And that no amount of good intentions and or deeds can change who she really is. That realization will bring or lead to her demise. Before this season ends Nookie Thompson will have lost both of the women in his life, making him a much more cold and narcissistic gangster. Or not. But, I’m really interested in the role that Chalky will play in the coming episodes. That short meeting in the last episode was obviously an introduction to a twist or new storyline. And don't forget about the dreams Nookie had about killing his stepson. There's a lot of loose ends left.
I'm not sure about your prediction. It crossed my mind, too, but HBO has a good thing going. My prediction? Spoiler You can't kill off Margaret and lose a lot of the female audience. Maybe with their respective lovers out of the picture Nucky and Margaret will make some sort of reconciliation; but her "condition" looms and she'd have to B.S. her way through it, and she hasn't shown herself able to carry a big lie all the way through. The contents of "The Box" was an attempt, but she didn't get her chance to fulfill it. In any case, the ensuing drama between her and Nucky should be good. She has her kids to think about. He has an empire and his pride.
Agree. I wouldn't say that was the best episode ever, but the last 5-10 minutes was amazing. I'm not one to talk to the tv during tv shows, but when I saw the box, all I could say was, "no....no....NO" This season started slow, but it is building steam.
just watched it...did i miss something? Spoiler How was he killed and why? I dont even get what the conversation at the end was about.
Spoiler Joe Masseria men killed him when he tried to pull of the assassination at the bath house. Last conversation was him finding out that Margaret was going to be having his baby
Spoiler she's going to drink the milk that the lady at the beginning of the season did to abort the pregnancy
