He only made around $1 mil last year. He's young and seems to be a solid center and he's big. Honestly, I might rather have him than dalembert.

I'm a huge fan of Fesenko, so I say yes. I think he played well in the Jazz-Nuggets playoff series a couple years ago. I was quite impressed with his toughness. He's aggressive, is long and makes good effort.

I think this makes perfect sense.

I am all for signing Fesenko and I have been for a while. I think he could be a diamond in the rough and with extended playing time and good coaching from McHale he could be a Marc Gasol-type player. I've been waiting for a few days to hear the news that the Rockets are pursuing him.

You are correct. Fesenko was mentioned last year, but I trust you are in a better position to gauge Morey's actual interest. With Fesenko we would have two true centers (I don't yet count Samhan or Cousin) which would allow packaging one of our 4/5s, 4/3s or 3/4s (the tweeners) for a serious NBA player.

    wut???????????????

    ahahahahaha

I now him personally and saw him play a lot. He will never ever be a Marc Gasol-type of player

Dude is big, amazingly huge, but he's lazy, not very talented and he's smoking like an old locomotive

Fesenko is like the Ukranian version of Ha Seung Jin. Their looks, physical size and level of crapyness is uncanny.

Wouldn't mind having him as a 3rd string back up C.

The thing that worries me about this guy is the Ukraine is weak. It's feeble. I think it's time to put the hurt on the Ukraine.

    One story about Fesenko

Two and a half years ago Ukrainian national team was fighting for survival in European Elite division. In decisive game on the home court, coach didn't want to put him on the floor (small ball was effective). Coach was well respected, a solid army guy who made a portuguese miracle in Eurobasket a year before that, so, coached refused to put him on the floor. Fesenko shocked all of the people on the arena. Just imagine: The national team's player in uniform stands up, go through the baseline to the entrance in the middle of a third quarter. A reaction was like WTF R U doing? What's wrong? He actually left the arena, get a few smokes, came back to bench than said **** You Coach in the lockerroom, took his passport from Federation and flew back to the States

Jazz front office was shocked when they were finally able to find the circumstances

Are you talking about potential there?

They are volunteering for their country....they are not getting paid, right?

I don't have any issue with what you just posted.

We need to sign a 7' Center ASAP. I can't watch the opposing teams having a layup drill at our expense..

Here is a novel idea, whats wrong with Thabeet and fasenko splitting time? Play the hot guy late in games defensively. Brooks and lowry platooned and so did scola and landry. Why not always have that big shot blocking presesnce on the court. I thought they shouldve signed him 2 yrs ago. I doubt the jazz wouldnve matched any offer.

And I'm sure you wouldn't have had anything sanctimonious to post if, say, Carmelo Anthony had done something along the same lines during the Olympics or World Championships.

I guess it would depend upon the situation, sometimes coaches can be arseholes too.

You say that as if it's more depressing than the Jeremy Lin discussion
