I don't think Rockets were interested in Nene anymore after the 3 teams trade fell a part. With Nene alone, we could make it to the western semi-final at best, and for the cost of hiring him, overpaid salary and late draft pick, it wasn't worth it.
Your new Rocket Center Samuel Dalembert. Yeah! I don't want anyone traded just want to see what the team can do with a true C that can play D and rebound in traffic. If the team is not doing well by the trading deadline then a trade should be made but I would not want to give up number 1 picks with the Draft coming up next year.
I agree. lets see what we can do with sam, if we suck then firesale, if we are good then keep on the path
That's actually less than what I thought Nene would sign for. Given that the Rockets and the Nets offered him a better deal(~4-5 mil less total but for 4 years instead of 5). If that was Denver's price tag, no wonder he stayed on the market for so long without signing.
I was holding out a little hope for Nene signing here. Now that option is gone, Next option is Dalembert.. I don't see Morey signing him either.
An undersized C, who would've cost $16M/yr to sign away from Denver, and isn't that great of a rebounder.
Worst offseason ever. If they are just trying to save cap space for 2012 then the team is doomed. Howard is gonna be traded to the Nets or Lakers before the deadline and CP3 will be a Laker or Clipper before the deadline ends too. Nothing for Houston...
