waaaaaah, "I'm done with the NBA because the heat formed a superteam, the mavs are good, and the wockets didn't get a washed up center from the wakers". Waaah and IF the trade had gone thru then I'm really done with this NBA because Stern loves the Lakers and wants them to have a superteam & Kobe and CP3 on the same team isn't fair. waaaah" I'm also still crying because the Lakers got Gasol in a lopsided trade in the first place & he's the reason Kobe won championship even though I don't want him here in Houston" waaaaaaah

Geez, that was the whiniest post in the whole thread.

We have a legitimate complaint when the NBA colludes to deny a trade.

New Orleans generates revenues to pay their bills. You need revenues to pay the bills , if New Orleans is a going concern they will need to have a roster that sells tickets. The only scenario where the NBA will have to subsidize the team is if it is not generating enough revenues to cover expenses which will happen if they tank. The problem is the owners don't care about New Orleans succeeding because it is a competitor hence the conflict of interest position.

Didn't you bet 450 bucks that the Heat will win the championship?

Don't see much progress. So are you going to man up and run off like you already have?

My point is, and it's a valid one, is that the same people crying in this thread would be crying had the trade gone through because the Lakers would have a superteam.

No. I bet $100 and I paid my debt. Weren't you the same one who said the heat had no chance of beating the Bulls? 4-1.

Don't worry about stern the next time I deal with him I'm gonna hit him with the old DUCK SEASON-RABBIT SEASON-DUCK SEASON-RABBIT SEASON until he blows his own bill off.

I think Tebow prayed for the CP3 trade to be called off because he knew Nene was shortly on his way to Houston if we had acquired Gasol and he didnt want that for his beloved hometown Nuggets. Its highly possible

Nope, I wasn't the one, because I'm not dumb enough to bet in an unpredictable playoff series.

And I doubt you paid it.

Not quite. Cp3 would be a nice piece to build off for the future, but superteam? No way.

Losing Pau and Odom is a considerably big hit. I think you are seriously undervaluing Pau to say the least. The Lakers would have been reduced to only having an injury prone Bynum in the post. What other bigs would they have? As Kobe is on the decline already, by the time the team filled out again around Paul, who knows how much Kobe would have left in the tank. Further, Paul has issues with his knees and Kobe is breaking down. Thats a great backcourt to complement Bynum.... You don't have a point at all....

I don't see how LA gets better by trading both Gasol/Odom for a point guard who just came off knee surgery (see Brandon Roy).

I would like Gasol, he has the complete package, good post up, good mid range, good rebounder, underrated passer, and was able to carry a young Grizz team into playoff contention with no one else but Shane Battier.

We just got sterned, I mean screwed.

I agree. I am mad because I just saw Prince in Calgary and he played a two hour medley....no complete songs...but I'm still not as disillusioned as I am with the NBA right now.

I too have had some delicious vodka.
