You do not get thrown in jail for 13 month in any civilized country for not having the proper documents. Only barbaric Iran.

I won't even get into a political debate in this thread so I will make sure it is kept out of the D&D. As I do not agree that the length of time that they were kept was extreme. Every country has the right to have their judicial system work how they want it to.

At the end of the day they are not the only ones in the world who have extreme rules. Try chewing gum or spitting it on the ground in Singapore and see if the caning you get is okay and civilized but you don't hear anything about that.
