Yao Ming is so classy and is soooo done! Lets move on. This happens to certain athletes.

    The sentimentalist in me says

    Heart of a Champion

To plagarize - playoffs - A mountain the Rockets must climb at all cost

redemption starts with never quitting, Yao Mings new personal mountain.

Pretty well want to be there to see it. All of it, if it can happen.

The negatives don't outweigh the positives at the right price. Did the 12th man on a team who was paid like a 12th man ever hold a team back?

I would like him back at a very low price, and the very faint hope that he might just beat this thing at least as a part time rim protector.

I have ZERO expectations.....but the reality is that Les makes a ton of money having Yao on the team, and IMO, you can follow almost all the decisions Les makes by their fiscal properties.

So, I think Yao is coming back whether anyone wants him to or not.

He better not be chasing anything! That'd be really annoying if he was on the mend and tripped over a blade of grass and fractured something....;)

Rocket is no near championship for next three years. If he want to stay as Rocket, it shouldn't change team too much. Keep him just in case we got lucky to land superstar in next year or two.

If Yao resigns for half of the MLE for a maximum of 2 years, anyone who would be opposed to the signing is absolutely out of their mind. Any positive that Yao could prove is worth the risk of any metaphorical (and ultimately worthless idea) of passing the torch/era/whathaveyou.

Be assured that Yao Ming will be paid 'Money', especially if he is going to play for our team next season.
Do not be deluded into thinking that he will play for next to nothing!
I hope that he will be able to play well enough to gain bonus money if he reaches certain levels.:p

As long as it is non-guaranteed, it is okay. Highly doubt any team gives him more than the MLE (if there even is an MLE under the new CBA).

Yao Ming goes on the university's TV station to talk to fellow students. Translations are real.

I believe Yao will make one more comeback. Next season is the best chance, but it is also possible the year afterward.

It just hit me today when I was watching ESPN that we really aren't going to have this guy on the team. Subconsciously, this whole time, it has felt like Yao was just rehabbing from his latest injury and he was just going to miss the start of the season. Sad that he couldn't overcome his injuries.

I just hope that he is in town for the All-Start game next year. I am already trying to make plans for my first trip to Houston!
