My earbuds only last on average 2 weeks before one side dies. Of course I only buy the $1 ones at Rite Aid but do more expensive ones last longer? I also don't understand why they die so quickly, is it because I bend them?
You buy $1 earbuds and you wonder why they don't last long? lol You don't have to buy $150 headphones to get them to last long. Spend $20 or $30 and you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Skullcandys have lifetime warranties if you want to take the time to mail them in. http://www.skullcandy.com/faq
Thanks! But unfortunately they won't cover what usually happens to them. The cable will get ripped off the jack. That or the earpiece will come off. I haven't had any of them go out from defects or old age.
My Razer Moray+ lasted about 2.5 years, they're "gamers" earbuds, played CSS almost everyday for 2-3 hours with them for a 30$ they were great.
Seriously nobody here buys $1 earbuds? I wasn't expecting them to last a century but not 2 weeks either.
I use the "free" ones that I get from Continental/United. Worth every penny. They last between 1 day and 3 months.
Koss has great value for the sound and a lifetime warranty too. The ksc75's look goofy and leak like crazy, but sound amazing for 13$.
I buy the $10 ones, usually Sony or Koss though my current pair are JVC. They usually last 2 years or so.
I find that with above average use, the $20-$60 range headphones last anywhere from 6-12 months. Sounds like I should get some skullcandy headphones next time.
Lots of things, light bulbs for example. Yeah they don't last very long either. But their cords are a lot longer than Rite Aid ones.
