C.Lee will be a RFA but there's always the chance a contending team might look to overpay him. The Rockets being in the situation they are might want to lock up another guy at a more manageable contract.

Surprised a bunch of people don't seem to have any idea who the guy is. You guys don't watch a ton of college basketball, do you?
Lefty That explains the shooting One thing is certain ... Rockets definitely want to create mismatches "tis season"
Of course they do dharocks. Didn't you know that all the posters on here are ex top NBA GM's and scouts? They know every player we should go after and every trade we should make. They know how good a player is and what he can bring to this team. They know it ALL! Williams is a good player. Would probably be a good rotation player. Those types of players are needed on good teams. Can't have all stars at every position like some on here would have you believe.
I would say one clutchfan member, flippedkk, would vehemently deny there is no advantage being a lefty.
And even If there was an advantage, the "fact" that you could be gay If you are left-handed negates all of that, because it would be a locker room disturbance...
At first I assumed this was just because the W's are so happy with Dorell Wright, but Williams is more of a swing type guy off their bench, and now they're getting pretty light at the guard position: Bell, Lin, and Williams will all be gone. Must have backups they like better in camp.
There was a Reggie Williams on that team, but no, this is another guy with the same name, and they are not related. This one is the second article here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Williams_(basketball,_born_1964) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Williams_(basketball,_born_1986)
Good young talent but with Martin, Lee and TWill all battling for playing time it's curious as to why the Rockets would go after him? Also, he is a un-restricted free agent, why would he come to a team with such a crowded and talented back court where he will have a hard time finding playing time?
reggie was let go for cap reasons. GS had to rescind the qualifying offer in order to create enough room to make the offer sheet to Deandre Jordan (which was matched by the Clippers). It's not about someone in their camp GS liked better, but they felt a shot at Jordan was more important for them.
You came to this conclusion after watching some highlight reels? How about Bud's highlight reels? On his reels Bud has monster dunks and two 30-point games. Any NBA player can be made to look like an All-Star if you just pick out the relatively rare good moments.
And if we like Lin and Williams, what does that say about us? But I agree, the Warriors look awfully thin on the wings right now. Williams cap hit was only about $1m, surprised they would go so far to release that. Their depth chart on the perimeter looks like this: Curry/Charles Jenkins (#44 overall pick, combo guard) Ellis / K. Thompson (#11 overall pick) Wright/Chris Wright (undrafted free agent, really a 4) They also have Bird rights to Al Thornton, but he's a big 3 really. They actually seem like an interesting trade partner for us. Dragic could make a lot of sense there as an experienced guard who could fit in easily next to either Curry or Ellis. Not that there's anything on that roster I'd really want.
