Do Mormon Women date outside their religion? And if they do, do they try to convert you? Cause their is one at work who has my attention cause she got bootay...... among other nice attributes
If she's a devout Mormon, she will only date you if you are husband material and you are willing to convert. If she is only Mormon because her parents are Mormon, then you have a very small chance.
Going to BYU does not mean she is devout. Jim McMahon went to BYU. The problem is that she's going to probably have devout friends who keep her on the straight and narrow. You might have to get yourself some holy pajamas.
What difference does it make? If she'll go out with you, and you have a mutual attraction, all the religious stuff will work itself out. Heck, I married a Catholic and I don't think there have been any Catholics in my family since they were booted off Cape Wrath in Scotland by their greedy clan chief.
If she is from a devout Mormon family it is very unlikely that she will date outside her faith. Catholicism is completely different.
worth a shot. I had some friends who have "dated" some non-strict mormon girls and they have been freaks.
Is it really that different? Don't they both believe in a God? And the Catholic Church frowns upon interfaith marriages. Yes, it does. Jack Kennedy's Catholic religion was an issue in 1960, yet he got elected. People said he was "different" because of his religion, and that his religion would influence what he did while in office. There is no evidence that it did, however. Now this is getting way ahead of the topic. The cat just wants to go out with her. What is the harm in trying? Why construct artificial barriers between them based on religion before he's even asked her out? That's my point. I'd say go for it. All she can do is say no, and it may not have anything to do with the OP's religion, either.
You don't get the fundamentalism in Catholicism that you see in Mormonism. The Catholic Church frowns on a lot of stuff that most Catholics nevertheless practice, like contraception. My guess would be a Mormon would be more insular than a Catholic, on average. But, I guess for this particular woman, there's only one way to find out.
Deckard's in a 'love conquers all' box. I applaud the optimism. That stuff doesn't fly in other religions and cultures though.
Their is a big difference between modern Catholocism and the Mormon faith. I would say half the Catholics I know are married to people that are not Catholic. In fact many Catholics do not even attend Mass. If he wants to ask her out, go for it, but don't be blind. In many cases Mormons are very tight knit and a great deal of pressure is put on them to marry church members, and the purpose to marry is to procreate and marry. The fact she attends BYU only adds to it. As for JFK, that was over 50 years ago.
Is she hot? Ever been to Temple Square? The Mormons know how to advertise. That's where the hotties work.
Just ask her out, why are you asking us here on a BBS? If she says no, then you know...but if she says yes........ DD
I dated/lived with a 'black sheep' Mormon girl for two years. She was a freak. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the religion outside of being repressed, which you could find with any strictly religious family. Her family was nice enough but once I made it clear that I wasn't interested in their belief system, I was off the Christmas Card list.
I have lots of Mormon friends, and unlike Catholics, they practice what they preach. They are also the best designated drivers in the world. We go out and get plastered, and they will sip ginger ale all night long and feel a moral obligation to get you home safely. Can't ask for a better wingman than that.
