Yup. What about Chuck Hayes, 1yr max raise allowable. At least give me something fun to watch.

If you want a defensive guy, we should have just matched and retained Chuck Hayes. While Kwame is pretty good at guarding post players, he doesn't have enough IQ to roam around the paint and discourage jumpshooters, which is why guys like Nene or the two Gasols are actually better than Kwame when it comes to D.

When it comes to offense, Kwame is worse than just having 4 people on the court because he gets in the way. The other dude would get double teamed, and he'd be tempted to throw a pass Kwame's way, which of course Kwame will fumble and lose. Its not really his fault, he was just born with small hands. This is also the reason why I'm dubious about Kwame being a good rebounder, it may be that he just got a ton of defensive rebs because he plays on a crappy team.

There is no such thing as a bad one year deal. Good signing for them.

Warriors don't need a big man that can score, hence they didn't really have any interest in Nene.

They got Curry, Ellis, Lee and Wright who can all score well.

If Kawme wasn't a NO.1 overall pick, he'd actually be considered to have had a solid NBA career. Instead he would always be considered a bust.

I swear... this board's standards for post defenders has fallen off the map.

Kwame Brown? One of the best post defenders in the league? Come on...

    Numbers don't lie.

He allowed 48% shooting in the low post and was ranked 202nd in points allowed/possession.

Absolute Morons. Even for one year that is so much money for Kwame Brown. What were they thinking?

Sounds like a $7 million expiring contract for when they trade Monta Ellis.

When you have Monta, Curry, Wright, Lee, Klay, you don't need a C that can score. He'll provide defense and get plenty easy baskets in their system. Great signing.

Not saying that I don't believe you, but you should source these statements of fact.

Like I said post play is only a tiny bit of big man defense, esp. in this new age where low post players like Yao Ming are a dying breed. You need paint protectors rather than guys who can muscle everyone down low.

Also how are these defensive stats derived? Defense isn't as easily quantified because players don't defend the same dude all the time. Unless you have some site which tracked all guys which kwame defended and recorded it when they missed/made a fg.
