Man JChills rotations are quicker now. He seems like he's progressing really nicely in that respect. If he could work on his lower body strength and start boxing people out correctly, his rebounding would improve. But im very impressed by his defensive awareness in this video.

Its not as much about the cap space to me anymore. I do get that it's just a scrimmage but this is this guys last chance and it sure doesn't look like he came to camp roaring to prove anyone, not even him self that he belongs on this team, the NBA or on a basketball court.

I saw the post up drills Clutch posted too. Jordan was busting his ass and you could see how much more sharp he was with his feet and quickness. This is a guy who found out his cousin was killed right before camp! I'm rooting hard for him and he seems to finally get it.

Thabeet? I'd rather not have him disgrace the team colors and himself in front of thousands at Toyota center. He sure as hell shouldn't start. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't want our other players look at him an catch whatever garbage he has. That lacadazical non competitiveness look to his game and body language.

I'm in the tanking camp but by tanking I mean letting the young guys go out there and figure it out on their own. Learn from their mistakes but bust their butts. I don't want to pay to watch this tall guy go out there and waste my time. He obviously doesn't get it and from the looks of it probably never will.

Your expectations are too high, and your analysis between him and Hill is way off.

Hill is a quickness player, and much smaller than Thabeet, not to mention Hill has a lot more conidence.

Give Thabeet time, once he stops thinking and starts reacting he will reward your patience.

Don't overeact based on 3 minutes of recorded scrimmage practice after a 3 hour workout.

It's funny how the one bad thing that Thabeet does is blown up whille the other two good plays were totally ignored. Clutchfans hate has no boundaries. Iff Thabeet had a 10pt 10rbd and 1TO game, he would get destroyed by Clutchfans for having one turnover.

Yeah, like that. Like you said, they are after Hill. Seriously, though, Hill came down on Thabeet's foot.

Where's Lowry. He's pretty much the face of the franchise and I haven't seen or heard anything about him.

He was out there pushing the ball the other way. He was the one who got the turnover from Flynn who, btw, looked terrible.

Scola was sitting down, for whoever asked...you can see him get up at the end.

Hasheem looks like he's either thinking too much or not at all. He's able to injure teammates like Deke, now he needs to defend like him.

hasheem thabeet had an offensive and defensive rebound. He also made a good rotation on defense. The bad inbound's pass can be fixed with help from the point guard. I think he played well in the short clip.

a couple things are clear just from watching these vids. Thabeet is lost. KMartin is a classy guy. One of the things that i have always liked about the current roster is how many class players are on it. It's also a big reason why we have such great team chemistry and play hard every game. When you look at how Lamar Odom handled things, we ought to be grateful that we have the type of players who understand that the most important thing is to keep getting better as a basketball player and keep playing hard; and try not to let the outside circus undermine that. Even if it's not a contending roster, i'm gonna support these guys every chance i get. I only wish i could separate my support for our roster from my support for the NBA as an organization (which i happen to think is the worst run organziation in professional sports).

Does anyone know if Omar Samhan, Greg Smith, or Damian Saunders are at camp? How have they been doing?

I like how McHale didn't keep his eyes off his players practicing, even during in interview. From what I've seen so far, I'm really liking his coaching style and approach. Let's hope it translates to the game!

Time is what you don't have in a shortened season, without much of a preseason and test games.
Thabeet can't even claim the backup spot let alone the starting job.
We will have major problems. Time to sign one veteran whoever it maybe.

Well said! If we end up with basically the same team as last year (which I didn't expect), at least I loved watching those guys play. One of my biggest concerns is that they will toss Adelamn's offense, which the team (most of them) finally "got." I thought it was a thing of beauty. If McHell can bring the Rocks a better defense, yet still keep Adelman's offense, we just might be able to make a bit of noise in this shortened season. Squeeze into the last or next to the last playoff spot. But with the new coach, will the team still be on the same page offensively? Losing Chuck was huge. How do they replace what he brought?

And will Morey still pull something out of his hat with a deal, despite being totally screwed by Stern?
