Last year I got the international league pass broadband for 150$. That was the premium package that included all games.

This year, they want 170$ for just the team pass and 220$ for the premium.

How does the price go up 50% in a lockout year??

    What country are you from?

I'm from Hungary and for me it will cost 140$ (the premium pass)

    Wow, that sounds ridiculous.

Indeed, $ 220 in Germany as well. That's crazy.

Question: Does International League Pass always come with all playoff games and the finals. US League Pass does not. It stops at the end of the regular season.

If the package is identical to last year. This is outrageous. Even if they are offering playoff games for the the first, it is still surprising they would raise the price.

I can't tell if my email is offering US League Pass or ILP to me. I've never had International before, but am in Germany right now, so when I log in it takes me only to the ILP packages.

Are playoffs and finals being offered to the US for the first time. I can't tell.

My question is: did you get playoffs and Finals games last year. Describe to me what the premium package offered last year in terms of # of teams and # of games (regular season, playoffs, finals).

Last year, the ILP software was much better than the US version. Not sure if they will be using the same for the US this year.

    I haven't bought a LP before.

On the USLP vs ILP issue: I guess it depends on your IP address. I think they trace back to your ISP and provide everything based on that.

Can anyone tell me if ILP offered playoffs and Finals last year?

It did, but it had to be purchased as an extra option (I did).

    From my confirmation last year:

Service: NBA League Pass Premium Season
    Price: $149.95
Playoffs: NBA League Pass Premium Playoffs ($79.95)
Receive news and offers from the NBA: Yes

    Thanks for the info.

So, it's actually less money than last year if you buy everything. $230 vs $220. The discount should be bigger, imo.

OP is not comparing apples to apples.

I suspect US LP will only have a minor discount as well, which will piss people off; but no pricing is out, yet.

I just VPN to nba.com, so it would not redirect me to ILP. LP for US is still not active. Weird that I got an ILP invite? hmmm, now I wonder if I bought that $80 playoff package while here late April/May. Must be.

LOL they base pricing solely on IP. If you access the page from, e.g., Romania, you get it for $ 139.99, even if you enter a German or Swiss billing address.

If you can get a proxy AND a credit card registered in Romania, you can use it legally. Just read the terms, they say they will kick your ass if you try to work around the rules.

I think the pricing is based on average income.

ILP was vastly superior to LP from a technical/feature perspective last year.

Well, how am I working around the rules, if I was just traveling in Romania, I shouldn't be allowed to sign up?

I gave them my proper address and billing address.

So, if we proxy through Romania, we get $80 off. hmmm. I wonder if proxy-ing from Romania would slow down the games too much. I'm not familiar with latency issues using proxies.

I think there is something about this in the terms and conditions part...

cool...yeah the US software sucked ass.

What is infuriating is if you are watching in DVR mode 1hour behind live, when the game ends, they will take it offline and move to archive, which takes like 3 hours. So, if you are 1 hour behind, they turn off the game while you are in the 3rd quarter. You either have to catch up, or wait for the archive to show, which essentially means the next day.
