Have you guys ever bought something online, received your product but not been charged or maybe charged hella late??

    Whats your story?

Its been about 3 weeks and I still haven't been charged. Getting kinda nervous but at the same time, its like whoa.

My dad brought a Rolex for 10 grand. Instead of getting charged, he got credited 10 grand. He called Visa but it took them a year to finally work everything out.

They'll get their money one way or another. Just make sure you have enough in the credit card or bank so you don't get charged fees.

Did you order a Fleshlight on your parents credit card? Are you afraid your mom is going to find out when you are eventually billed twice?

Because the thought of getting something for free is making him so happy that he's nervous that he'll actually be charged and lose the euphoria.

I'm sure if he bought it from the store the merchant must have done something wrong and actually had them credited when they swiped the card instead of a purchase.

You would figure that the merchant would catch it in their own books.

if you are trying to get away with it and they have not charged it yet then just cancel the card.

When they do go to charge it guess what? the card is done.

Surely they will try to contact you at that point and eventually will give up.

If they have 'authorized' but not 'captured' payment this means the charge is in a pending status and they can capture for a considerable time after.

I can run a report with my merchant and 'capture' pending payments from 6 months ago. I believe it depends on what merchant they have , what card you used etc.

If you buy something online and didn't sign for it , you can dispute it and if they dont have a signature you can usually get the money back. It's shady to do that, and I had a stolen card that was used on one of my websites to purchase something. Since I didn't get a signature I was screwed and had to eat the costs.

I believe merchants can do IP logging and I am not on the up and up all the way ( should be) on what are the alternatives besides getting a signature for authentication. Should probably call my merchant but I have heard of people going on $5000 cruises and disputing the transaction and winning since the cruise agency didnt get a signature.

One of you shady SOBs should buy something expensive online (try not to sign anything) then dispute it and let us all know how it goes.

Early this year, I ordered a one month supply of Proactive for my son, which we got. But starting a month later, we've been getting the large 3-month supply shipments without being charged. The funny thing is they send an invoice showing that we are getting charged. Just got the 3rd one last week.

    Weird.

K, thxs for that. its a Toshiba Qosmio. Just bychance, how long do they have to charge? is there some kinda of regulation of a time period??

Im not trying to scam anything by canceling a card but Im not gonna be honest Joe and call them saying charge my butt.

Back in my late teens, I bought my gf at the time a necklace worth around three hundered bucks. the sales woman asked if I wanted to open up a credit card with them and charge it. I decided that was a great idea but I didn't know how great it was. I was approved for the card, charged it to the new account and waited patiently for my bill and the actual card to arrive in the mail. It never did and the charge, account and unpaid bill never appeared on my credit report.
