I posted a trade somewhere, NOH could trade Okafor and Paul to the Magic for Nelson and another player ( I forget whom) plus the Magic could send some picks. Although, I don't think Stern would approve that deal.
ChrisMannixSI Chris Mannix Can't imagine if the Clippers do close trade for @CP3 that Chauncey Billups will want to be there.
KBergCBS Ken Berger Re: revival of CP3 talks with Clips, which began earlier today, source says, "The league has no choice. They have nowhere else to go."
Stern is leading the negotiations himself http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...cB?slug=aw-hornets_clippers_paul_trade_121211
I feel really bad for Demps. He got a great initial deal that would have been awesome for the organization just to get shoved aside and screwed over by the league. This sort of thing would completely piss me off.
So now Stern isn't even going to bother with the charade that is Dell Demps the "Hornets GM" anymore. I'm certain Stern is only doing it in the best interest of New Orleans fans, because we all know what's best for their fans is the best for the other 29 owners who own the team.

Rookie GM dealing with the Rockets and Lakers in a combined deal. Have you ever heard of the expression "pulling a train"?
I agree Demps got screwed. Big time. New Orleans was the winner of that initial deal, though it would win big with the Clips deal as well. I honestly don't know why Demps hasn't resigned yet. The league is making a mockery of him and his franchise.
For a team going nowhere getting older players is not worth it. I they would be where the rockets are no man's land.
They weren't going to hold on to Scola or Martin for too long...they would have been auctioned to contenders for picks + expirings.
