It sounds good now. But when the Rockets are 5-20 with that group, Toyota Center will be empty and TV ratings will plummet. And this board will be filled with angry fans talking about how McHale is the worst coach in the NBA, Morey needs to be fired, and GARM will be filled with stuff like "Drummond vs Davis" and UConn/Kentucky game threads. I'm as big a proponent of tanking as anyone, but this will be one ugly, ugly season if the Rockets truly do take everything apart.
We need to sign players that wants to play for us unlike douche bags like Paul Gasol. Sign Dalembert that will take care of our short term Center position.
Hate to say it, but you guys are pretty far away. And Morey doesn't want a to go through a full on rebuild. I just don't know. Paterson is a good piece, but scola and martin are just not going to get you very far. If I were you guys I'd try to make a deal with Chicago for say Omer Asik, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Kover and a 1st rd pick for Martin. That'd be a good start.
If Morey could do that deal he would do that immediately. I wonder what we could would take just to take Asik away, I'd give away C.Lee, 1st rounder, J.Hill, Bud
The bulls are only interested in improving their sg position. They know that they can't do it will Taj Gibson alone, they tried that last year. If they could get Martin in a deal, I'd bet that they would give up asik, brewer and kover are the retreated sg that makes the salaries work. Now would they be willing to give you guys a first round pick as well? I don't know. Many People are pretty high on Asik. But Martin is no slough either. In the right role, he'd be deadly. Next to Rose, he be deadly another words.
I'll be rooting for our guys either way. This team won't quit, no matter what, so we might as well enjoy the development of players like Lowry, Patterson, Morris. The bandwagon will be back in full force whenever we eventually land/develop a star, but this site is for the true fans who stick with their team through thick & thin.
