A couple of years ago not much. But the way that defensive centers are getting paid today ... who knows. Probably a whole hell of a lot.
I propose a new rule where one cannot mention dalembert and hakeem in the same post. what do you guys think?
Im at the point to where I wish we would just sign him and go on with the season! Im sure im not the only one, but im sick of always wondering who is gonna get traded today. If im sick of it, you can imagine how the players feel!
Exactly, one has to wonder if we are REALLY trying to make the playoffs, I know we SAY we are, but are we REALLY? DD
If we are a 1st round exit, I bet we would make a strong effort to trade for a lotto pick! I think if we were to add a guy like Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes, or Jeremy Lamb to the current roster, we would be legit within a year or two.
Maybe DD is right - we should just tank - trade Martin and Scola for bad contracts and lottery picks - dont sign a center
No lottery team is going to take Martin or Scola though. Best chance is to get 2 midrange 1st picks hopefully get a ten pick and make a bid to trade all 3 for a top 3 from Cleveland
Looks like he's the last option left....not too bad, im hoping with some help from the coaching staff he'll actually still improve at this point of his career.
No, there's still Fesenko. He provides a lot of the same things Dalembert does on the defensive end, but just at a much cheaper price. Not to mention he's much younger.
Not yet but its really hard to imagine Nene signing here since we dont have the money or a contending team. But then who knows? Random stuff has happened especially recently. ****ing stern.
Dalembert is the essence of mediocrity. He would be a good fit on a contender like the Heat or Celtics as a role player but as your big FA acquisition on a middle of the road team he is pointless. He'll just help the Rocks be just good enough to stay in purgatory at the #14 pick.
Haven't we reached the point where anything other than tanking looks ridiculous and desperate? At this point, it should be blatantly obvious that the Rockets are not going to be get the players they targeted and will be forced to overpay for marginal upgrades. How anyone could still oppose rebuilding is beyond me.
