Hi all, I recently purchased a 32gb microsdhc memory card to replace my current 1gb for my Android phone. Using the adapter that it came with I copied the contents of the 1gb to my computer, and then I plugged in the 32gb, and attempted to copy the folder back to my card. I got a message that said "Please remove write-protection from the disk" I googled the problem and see that it seems to be a fairly common one, but the solutions are not working for me. I have formatted the new card on my phone to see if that would help, but it did not. I have already tried taping the lock switch on the adapter, and it did not do anything. Btw I'm using Windows 7 and a SanDisk memory card and adapter. Am I missing something here, or is my adapter broken?

The adapter might be working, can you write to it from your phone? try to put something in there using a file manager or by taking a picture.

Try formatting it on your PC instead of your phone?

I have tried formatting it on my PC, no luck. I can write to it from my phone, i took a picture and it saved it on there. If I were to just plug my phone into the computer and mount the SD card could I write from there? This was my first option, I'm just having trouble finding the USB cable for my phone. I do however have an old phone with an available USB cable, could I use that?

Haha, there you go. Yeah, I've had an issue like that with an adapter. Same brand too.

Btw, the best way to transfer files is to use AirDroid (Assuming both your phone and device are on the same network) No root needed.
