Do you think signing Marc Gasol to 4-years, $55M is a good deal for the Rockets?

Question is ... According to what some of y'all are posting ... If Gasol is "using the Rockets as leverage" ... Why would Morey allow that to happen?

If Morey is not allowing the Rockets to be used as leverage ... After the league just made a fool out of the Rockets ... Why wouldn't the Rockets go public saying they did not offer Gasol a contract?

(Maybe Morey wants everyone to think he offered him a contract so he can get some rest for 3 days ... J/p)

Our 2012 Knicks pick may have just gone up in value, Melo went down today with an injury.

I don't wish anyone ill will. With our luck, however, NY would win the lottery and we would lose the pick! I think NO has the lottery sewn up for 2012.

Agreed. Something else is going on. We will have a center this season.

I don't think he's "allowing" it to happen, he just doesn't have much choice. He's playing chicken with the Grizz over what each party believes Gasol will do.

    It looks serious.

    FisolaNYDN Frank Isola
Carmelo has hyper-extended left knee. His day to day according to Knicks. On second thought, it does sound serious

Day to day, so that shouldn't be long term issue?

LOL at grizzlies fans getting nervous day by day. Post from Grizz forum...

"Man weird he isn't at camp! Is anyone else nervous by our FO right now? It should be an easy off season. Resign Marc, sign backup 4/5. Make push for Finals.

I get that they are trying to save money by dumping OJ but I'd rather keep him, pay the luxury this season since it isn't that bad to hit Lux this season, even if he walks this off season

Doesn't sound like it. I sent a DM to Hahn & asked if he was worried & he just said "Nah...yet. Looks precautionary."

I dont tihnk Morey really gave Gasol the offer sheet knowing. He probably leaked that news and watched how the Grizz would match or not. Theyre probably trying to work on a sign-and-trade.

Again, there was no offer sheet sent by Houston. The only offer that's been there since friday was Grizzlies 5 year max offer. Which still hasn't been signed.

Not optimistic about a SnT. I think they are trying to clear some cap space to be honest but are really taking their time doing so.

I used the term "allow" responding to posters who are saying that the Rockets aren't involved and Gasol is only using the Rockets as leverage. If that is the case (Rockets not being involved at all), by rockets officials not stating ANYTHING publicly denying the :"rumor," then Rockets are allowing it to happen.

    Which I doubt very seriously.

I believe Gasol doesn't want to be there.
