As much as we would all like to know, it is likely not going to happen

Stern would have to slip a gm a roofie for that trade to work. All that for Paul Gasol? Where's the Jim Mora clip "You kiddin me?" What a joke.

Sources: Clippers were asked to part w/top five trade assets for CP3: Gordon, Minnesota pick, Kaman's expiring contract, Aminu and Bledsoe

WoW, at this rate, CP3 will never get traded.

H3ll naw. David Stern knew we weren't giving up Lowry. That's why he raised up the asking price. You should see what he's demanding the Clippers to give up.

    Can you say extortion?

CP3 is going to walk in 2012. David stern knows it. He is pushing up the asking price, because he knows nobody will agree to them. CP3 will be a Knick next years. Ever notice that CP3 was doing charity in NY of all places in the offseason (he's still a Hornet). He's ready to go to NY already, it was inevitable since reported last season.

Even steeper price for the Clippers.

Stern is trading CP3 like as if CP was locked into a 20m/5 year deal.

Prominent agent: NBA has rendered Hornets front office "inoperable" and has given up doing even minor signings with them now.

I am not so sure CP3 will walk that is $40 million he would be walking from, I think the NBA may want to test the players resolve in the new CBA.

Sounds like we should trade for him. He certainly hasn't picked us, and we know that we have assets NOLA wants.

Seriously, they wanted Lowry, Martin, Scola, Patterson, and the NYC pick? Give them Lowry, Williams, Scola, Patterson, and NYC pick instead, then use our cap room to sign Nene. Plus, we would still have the MLE, right? Landry?

    PG: Paul/Dragic
    SG: Martin/Lee
    SF: Budinger/Parsons
    PF: Landry/Morris
    C: Nene/Hill

its pretty clear that stern does not want Paul, or probably any other star player, dictating where he is traded. Stern's fingerprints are all over the lakers/rockets/hornets deal, quite similar to the CBA negotiations. I guess I get that, but it is going to look extremely foolish when cp3 walks at the end of the year. A Trevor ariza led hornets team???? Yeah, they will be lining up to buy that. Its either extremely stupid, or Stern is the leagues greatest gm.

Yeah, it be one thing if we were the ones getting Paul. But all of that for a guy with similar numbers to Scola? That's way too much.

LOL, Mr 3% would be hurting his clients who aren't involved in this. They must be getting advice from Bonzi's old agent.

I think he wants CP3 to stay so that the NBA can try to find an owner that won't move the Hornets. The only thing Stern can't appear to see is that no owner will buy the team and keep it based in New Orleans unless CP3 signs with the Hornets, and no matter how much Stern does, there's nothing he can do to force him to resign.
