Listening to the radio broadcast on the drive home, and they brought up a good point. With the icing timeout, the giants were able to see how Bailey was going to approach that kick's trajectory. So on the 2nd go-round, they were able to load up that one point in the line where they could try to get a block in. You could hear JPP saying the same thing about marking the center instead of the guard.
I didn't realize that the trajectory changes much. The degrees seem so small that I'd figure the ball generally goes through the same gap, or it's a miss. I mean, does this mean JPP can block all FGA if he knows where the kicker is going to kick it? It just makes more sense that he got penetration and O-Line failed. Ugh, now I have to watch both kicks again.
It's probably a mix of both. At that distance, which is probably the edge of Bailey's range, he's going to want it as much down the middle as he can. And that's not to discount JPP's raw power and overwhelming his man, but he had mentioned in his post game interview how he focused on the center and not the guard.
Cool. That JPP is quite a beast. Don't hate the Cowboys, but I do like drama down the stretch, so good for the Giants.
The wide open Miles Austin could have put the game away if he didn't miss Tony Romo's throw. The blame isn't on Romo for that. If Miles dives for that ball, the game is over. Miles took the blame for it because HE lost the ball in the stadium lights. Miles also couldn't go all out and dive for it because I believe he's still recovering from the hamstring injury.

So, no MNF games for the 10-3 Texans, but we have to watch this crap game between two piss poor teams?
You don't have to watch it. I know I'm not. I'd rather not watch two teams fight for a draft pick, so I just watched the 4th quarter of Cincy/Houston a couple more times.
as bad as seattle/st louis are, seattle made the playoffs last year and st louis missed it by one game. The Texans didn't do anything last year to warrant being on MNF. And they can't flex MNF games like SNF.
