You make a good point, but since they already have Robin Lopez, and he's a capable starter so I just thought they'd move him up, and have Frye as his back up maybe we should just go after Lopez Alot of Suns Fans alwahys use him as bait in their ideas lol

How about Scola to Phoenix for Markieff Morris+Robin Lopez.

    ?/Lopez
    Patterson/Markieff
    Budinger/Morris
    Martin/Lee/Williams
    Lowry/Dragic/Flynn

Lopez is a scrub. Rather give Thabeet the time to grow or JHill

I also believe that Scola+Martin (even being professionals that know the business) should probably be traded. This situation is unique, toxic and severly damaging to our team. I can understand those guys being upset.

A new deal with the Scola+Martin as a package...

Scola+Martin+Patterson to OKC for James Harden and Serge Ibaka.

I think its time to give up on trying to trade for a star and tank already, Are team is going no where right now, we have budinger starting... i love budinger but he is a good backup at best, and his backup is Twill, and marcus morris... a rookie and a ( so far ) bust. our point looks solid our SG looks solid our pf PF looks solid ( scola should be declining soon ) but our SF and C are just huge holes, i mean our only center on the team is *****ing thabeet, thats just sad...we will not be able to make it to the playoffs unless a miracle happens and one of our young players become a star ( very unlikely ) i say we do what every teem does and just suck, this season is a perfect season to too. So here my trade idea to start the tanking :MARTIN for WES JOHNSON, ANTHONY RANDOLPH and the GRIZZ 2013 FIRST ROUND PICK (lotto protected ). This trade opens up a lot of cap for us and we get some good pieces to help us rebuild.

    3 team that helps everyone

    hou
    marc gasol

    memphis
    varejao, dragic

    clev
    thabeet, hill, ny pick

memphis gets cheaper guy to protect basket and allows them to keep majo and picks up good backup pg in process

cleveland gets rid of long term salary with two projects and gets pick in process

    houston
    gasol
    scola
    ?
    martin
    lowry

thats a pretty bad trade for memphis and cleveland. the only way memphis would trade gasol is if he doesnt want to be there, and if thats the case, i'm sure they would rather just take scola/martin combo over varejao and dragic. just like they had z-bo at the 4 and gasol at the 5, they could have z bo at the 5 and scola at the 4, or something like that

We should sign Dalembert and Carl Landry and amnesty Thabeet. Our team would have the defense at the rim and the scoring punch of Landry. Forget these high priced Assets that everyone else has. We have a good team, our problem is our GM scares the rest of the league to want to make a deal. No one wants to be shown up by money ball.

To me this would be the perfect deal for the rockets, but you aren't going to get 2 first round picks with Asik in the deal.

Plus, you are going to have to add Kover and Brewer to the deal to make the salaries work.

You might get Chicago's first rounder.

Asik is certainly an on the rise type of player that would fit well well Paterson and Morris.

If we cant get nene or make a trade and the front office is still stuck on winning this season, i say we trade for C.Kaman.

    My trade idea.

The gist: its between the raptors and rockets for valanciunas where the raptors give him to us in exchange with us taking on some bad contracts.

i havent watched a raptors game last season so i dont really know whether these players are worth their contracts.

calderon: ~10mil/yr for the next 2 seasons (underrated but still paid a lot)
bargnani: ~9-12mil/yr for the next 4 seasons (21ppg, but people say hes not that good)
amir johnson: ~5-7mil/ for the next 4 seasons (who? highest PER on team though)
barbosa: 7.6mil for 1 season (my opinion, hes not that great)

so some combo of scola martin and one or a few of our good young player(s). i wont get into specifics with all of the salary matching. i think the gist is whats important which is us taking on some bad contracts for val

    Why this gets done:

the rockets realize the difficulty of acquiring a star and/or center through trade and FA and decide to start rebuilding through the draft. this trade would probably make us suck thus giving us a high draft pick in next year's draft. team for future would include val, motiejunas, patterson, morris, lowry, players from future picks. rockets are willing to give up a lot to get the player they want as we all know from the recent trade talks. good centers are VERY hard to come by. maybe the rockets would feel it best to buy low and take a gamble on val like how the grizzlies bought low with marc gasol.

the raptors get an opportunity to unload some unwanted (again, my speculation) contracts. val isnt a sure fire star so maybe they decide hes worth giving up to unload salary

    Why this doesnt get done:

the raptors are REBUILDING and val is a rebuilding piece. their team of the future includes an ed davis, val, kleiza (i think hes pretty good) and derozan.

the rockets dont think val is worth the gamble.

wow it took me a really long time to type this out. im on winter break and now have a lot of time on my hands.

    just a thought

bucks - get kmart, thabeet, flynn, hill (+ 1 more filler if they want more)
rockets - get bogut and jackson

    klow/dragic
    jackson/clee
    twill/cbud/m.morris
    scola/ppat
    bogut/dalembert

if bucks do not extend thabeet, flynn and hill, they would get some cap space in 2012.

Lol you must not watch any basketball. Ibaka has an improving offensive game and is one of the best defensive 4s in the game and Harden is a promising young talent.
The problem with this deal is that OKC would never do it, they would laugh us off the phone.
