Meh, some trades are like that but this one isn't about Kevin Martin.

IIRC, Kevin Martin said that earlier as well. He doesn't really like players being treated purely like assets.

I'm not saying he's right because emotions can lead to a lot of stupid decisions. But sometimes it works the opposite way (like the Celtics last year).

I love the responses from kevin and scola, especially the latter. They both professionals and basketball players. No way it can hurt their form on court. that's the point for them to start playing worse than before? No. Martin just needs couple days, scola is OK at the moment :)

Love the Thabeet interview, the guy loves the game, loves to compete, just has a lot to be taught.

Love what McHale and Co. are telling him to be proactive, instead of reactive.

The guy just needs playing time....he is a thinker.....and once thinkers figure it out....BOYOYAH !!!

He's got a great attitude. It must be a daunting task, particularly for someone of his stature, to try to learn the intricacies of the NBA when he hadn't even picked up a ball until he was 15. He's consistently shown in interviews that he has a high level of self-awareness about what he has to do to survive in this league, and he handled in stride the unfortunate circumstance of becoming the highest-drafted player to be turfed to the D-League (though I'm sure it had a negative impact on his self-confidence).

The shortened training camp sucks, because I'm excited to see what the new coaching staff can do with him. Certainly shouldn't bet the farm on the guy, but you can't help but root for his success (and not just because he's a Rocket).
