"But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don't cover up the truth with boasting and lying." (James 3:14)
Sorry you don't... but teams that don't know how to run out a clock at the end of games (would have left the Broncos with ~ 50 seconds instead of 1:30), and teams that turn the ball over in OT despite being in FG range deserve credit for the LOSS.
Yes, and the team on the other side that can capitalize on their opponents' mistakes and can hit 59 yard FGs deserve credit for the WIN. ...So that's basically what happened.
And Prater kicked an absolutely perfect onside kick that was bobbled and dropped by the broncos. So, we could also credit those guys to be at fault instead of Marion Barber had the Bears successfully ran out the clock as you say. You can point blame all around, but Tebow is the winning QB and was awesome in the 4th qtr as usual.
While I have to admit the comebacks are starting to be fun, he really needs to learn how to put a full game together. Don't get used to going 3-16 in the first three quarters cause that is not a recipe for a consistent winner in the nfl.
Tebow was great in the 4th quarter... I'm just saying he had nothing to do with the Bears making awful mistakes that cost them the game.
You're right of course, but I'm honestly starting to come around on Tebow's future prospects as a starting QB. That fact that he isn't going to come away from this year completely shell-shocked like most first-year QBs is encouraging by itself. Maybe I'm just allowing myself to be talked into the hype, but I'm starting to think that Denver might have something here. If he can turn into a QB who gives you 220+ combined pass/rush YPG and 25 combined pass/rush TDs a season, that's not be an elite QB, but it's a guy you can win a lot of games with, provided your defense and run game is strong.
