Do you think signing Marc Gasol to 4-years, $55M is a good deal for the Rockets?

Remember your boy Tmac? We were winning when he quit out on us. Like you said, it cures a lot, but not everything...

Dude, you are an emotional wreck, why would you give 2 craps for whom I root for or what?

Frankly it is none of your ****ing business......

I have been a Rockets fan longer than you have been alive.

Stop jumping at every shiny object you see in the stream and THINK about the dynamics of what is being said.

Here is a hint, when talking about player movment, generally speaking follow the money....that is where the player will go.

If you are Marc Gasol, why leave $30 million on the table? Answer: you don't.

Dude, can you keep that crap out of here? DD may be many things, but one thing there's no doubt about, and that's that he is a Rockets fan.

This is no different than when the Grizzlies signed Josh Smith(remember that?).

The Grizz offered Gasol 5 years/$60 million. The Rockets offered 4 years/$55 million. The delay is just Tellum trying to get that 5th year from the Grizzlies at the Rocket's offer per yer average.

My boy? I hated that guy....what a mama's boy prima donna quitter.

I agree, you lace them up and hope that the team can compete.

Hopefully you trade your veteran players to potential contenders for future picks....

If Dwill doesn't get traded before the season starts, it's highly likely any trade will happen by the February 2012 deadline or later.

You are not considering that it is near impossible to gain popularity and stardom in some markets. Memphis is one of them. Houston is not NYC,LA, or Chicago but it is a 2nd tier market.

If he takes the pay cut it will be because Houston is the much bigger market and as far as quality of team is, we instantly become better than the Grizzlies IMO if we get Marc.

That is precisely what you don't do.

Absolutely the worst move you can ever do.

Playing in Houston certainly didn't hurt Yao Ming. You have a point, sir!

This sounds like the most sensible scenario out there.

I believe the only offer that he would or should seriously consider would be a ONE year deal for the max.

This would make him an unrestricted free agent after one year if matched, I could see him doing that if he really wanted out, but if he is just using us as leverage (as I suspect), then this is a bunch of sound and fury signifying nothing, as usual.

Stern screwed Morey's plans, whether you agree with them or not, clearly we are now in full scramble mode and who knows what letter of the alphabet this is as far as plans go, I suspect we are at least on Plan H...right now.

Agreed and I think the deadline is in March. Either way it's doubtful that he would be coming here and if he did it still doesn't address the problem we have in the middle.

I am not saying you are wrong. I was just giving you a reason as to why Marc would take less money coming here.

perhaps Morey is in full scramble mode though, but it makes sense to at least try...and Stern really did play a large part in this as sad as that is.
