Yeah that bolded quote puzzles me.

The Grizzlies board seem to think his agent Arm Tellum is trying to get Marc out of Memphis.

Dont get him. We lost Chuck Hayes. Its a good time to tank or develop the young guys we have on the roster, or both at the same time if we can. It will work out much better in the end if this doesnt happen. Trust me. There is something to giving the youth a shot and rebuilding. This will be much better than having a Gasol could ever be. It worked out perfectly. So glad Morey failed his plans. They are not good when he gets what he wants all the time. It actually works out better when he doesnt sometimes. Its good he drafts so well and adds minor pieces pretty good. It just takes patience.

    I still think they'll match.

Either way, if he doesn't want to be there, they will match and trade to another team and get pieces for him. Unless he specifically requests the Rockets, I don't see a chance at all.

I assumed it had to do with whether or not they'd sign the offer sheet, or wait on an extension from the Griz (or FA).

His contract is fully unguaranteed this season. It doesn't become guaranteed just because it was pick up off waivers.

What a great day in Houston this would be if we got this done!

Maybe our luck in sports is turning around? I'm roaming sports sites and such and see this and rush here. I really hope we can pull this off!

First weekend of the offseason, and I'm already burnt out by all the near moves we are making.

I just don't see why they would let him walk, when they could match and trade him. Looks pretty hopeless.

Lopez is probably the first asset Orland would covert from Nets in a trade for Howard, however i think Howard might stay pat or go to the Lakers.

Gasol put up those numbers in the western conference while playing alongside Randolphy and Gay, who require more touches. Lopez on the other hand was number 2 on offense

I'm split on him. Personally I think Morey might be a schitzo. They fire Adelman to work with the young talent, then get involved in a trade with LA and NO sending both young talent and some solid talent for a player who is approaching or might be even passed his prime. Then, we sign a player to a max deal basically stifling and cap relief we might have in 2012. Oh, and we let Chuck Hayes leave. I am at a point where I just want to know where the heck this team is headed. Right now I feel like Morey is more of a checkers player than a chess player...

Another element in the Pacers pursuit of OJ Mayo is that they also want to send Brandon Rush to Memphis w McRoberts, according to a source.

I dunno how this will their cap situation.

    Bima, help out!

Why would he demand a trade? He's got a good thing going over there in Memphis. Trade demands only happen on bad teams, usually.

With randolph in the mix it means less touches for him and if he wants to expand his game he is gunna need more touches
