I think the reports said the offer was 60+ mil for 5 years. Memphis knew nobody could give him 5 years 75 mil, so they didn't offer it.
Adrian Woj says Rockets and Grizz will work out a likely S&T with Scola going to Memphis. I don't Gasol has even signed the offer sheet yet though.
This off season is looking a lot like March - the Rockets trade prospects go in like a lion and out like a lamb.
Everything happens for a reason, all we need to do is trade Scola, kmart and lee and get a couple of first rounders. Even a mid to late first round pick would be valuable in this draft. We could then package those picks with some players to try to move up in the draft. Also by trading off scola, martin and Lee our pick would probably be top 5. If we can get two lotto picks in this deep draft were back.

The tone changed from he knows they're going to match w/ quotes included, to explaining why they would ... He doesn't know. I don't really want this guy.. People were complaining about Lopez and Lopez averages twice as many points and grabs 1 less rebound and blocks at almost the same rate... Gasol is also already 26 yo and lopez is only 23 and is on a much lower budget than max contract... I'd trade for Lopez waaay b4 Marc Gasol..
Exactly. I'd rather sign Sammy and finally have a real presence under the rim than start scola at center. (Doubt we start thabeet or hill)

unclear what's gay about memphis, or gasol, or why it should matter, and how gayness, in and of itself, is relevant to the proposed sign and trade? frankly, if Marc were gay, he might be just that much more in the fullness of his manliness. a beast, or the boards. NTTAWWT.
