I can almost guarantee all this matching crap has been lost in media. If Thabeet had been amnestited we would of heard about it, like we did with GS. No offer sheet has been signed and no matching has taken place.
Doesn't matter. Wanting to trade for a guy doesn't mean the team wants him to be traded. I'm sure the Rockets would love to SnT for a lot of guys.

If we want him, it has to be a sign and trade... the question is: what are we willing to give up that could convince them? Right now their starting 5 is really solid - and anyting that we could offer would make it worse. They don`t need no more young players - they are already one of the youngest teams. If they deal Gasol, they basically only need a center. We would basically have to give them Scola, Martin and a pick - yeah, that`s right, the same deal as the one for his brother. But I´m still not sure if they would bite. They like what they have, and they have every reason to.
Seems like due dilligence to me. Deandre Jordan would be desperation Dalembert would be more stop gap.
Still not a bad move by the Rockets, they made Memphis pay quite a bit. That team will have serious financial issues down the road.
